  1. Japanese Sumo Association and Japanese sumo fans are celebrating Asa's intai. (Clapping wildly...) Hurrai! Nobody can beat Taiho's record now! Two Japanese yokozunas remain on top. Asa is only third. All Japanese sumo fans are relieved. Thank God, he is finally gone. He could win 7 more times easily in 3 or 4 years and then what would happen with the Japanese national sport? Gaijin would be on top of Japanese sumo records? Asa would be on top of Japanese dai yokozunas. No way! It must not happen. Never! (Annoyed...) Somebody tried hard to find a good reason to get rid of Asa. So, congratulations! ;-) Asa's haters are won! Enjoy your boring sumo with yokozuna Hakuho! Actually I think Hakuho won't be able to win more than 14 times. Baruto, Harumafuji, all gaijins ... Goodbye thrilling Asa's sumo (Yusho winner...) and hello Hakuho
  2. Really great! Thank you very much! (Sign of approval...). Can see more of Asa's personality.
  3. Was there anything else on their agenda or whole meeting was only about Asa's guts pose?
  4. Didn't I tell you? Baruto had no chance! I was right!!!! :-)
  5. I knew that, which is why I made the comment. Baruto has never beaten a Yok, but seems tomorrow might be his chance. Asa is vulnerable, and I have a feeling Baruto has a really good shot this time. No way. Baruti will not beat Asa. :-)
  6. Hakuho can be generous? (Sign of approval...) In all past years Asa always donated money for different occasions in Mongolia. Never heard about Hakuho doing the same. I can
  7. Lately Mongolian tabloids are saying that Asa
  8. All these people on the background, who are they?
  9. How is it possible ? Hakuho came to Japan at about 15, as far as I know. Mongolian is his mother tongue. Do you think he could have lost his Mongolian while living in Japan (which I cannot believe), or do you mean he never spoke good Mongolian ? It's true his Mongolian wasn't perfect. Probably when you live outside of your country for long time you loose the sense of language because you are not using it that often. While living in Japan Hakuho use more Japanese than Mongolian. So he just forgot how to speak it. (Bomb about to be blown...)
  10. Kotooshu (10-5) losing to Kaio by yorikiri, 6.2 seconds??? (Sign of disapproval...) Kotooshu didn't loose to Kaio. He WON!
  11. Hakuho will get an easy win today :-)
  12. Thank you very much for translating. It's always very interesting to read. :-)
  13. If Asa would be there instead of Hakuho Wakanosato would win for sure. ;-)
  14. Thank you, Jonosuke. (In love...)
  15. Did you get the Monday article? Was the continuation of that interview published on Monday issue? Waiting to see it. (Lifting weights...)
  16. Nice interview. (Showing respect...)
  17. Each yokozuna has his own unique personality. Should they all be alike?
  18. It doesn't really matter who attacks Asashoryu. Finally he is the only person to decide what to do, to stay or to go. Like it or not he is and he will be one of the most remarkable yokozuna in sumo history. (Sign of disapproval...)
  19. Just pointed that fact that Kyokutenho had no alternatives than staying in Japan. as for Roho and others they don't want to go home because they won't be able to find a proper job there and to earn the money they earned in Japan. (Sign of disapproval...)
  20. There is a big difference between Kyokutenho abd Asashoryu. Kyokutenho is not a yokozuna. Besides he has a Japanese citizenship, Japan is his home and he is preparing to take over his heya. Then what else he can do and where else he can go during his suspension?
  21. I apologize for the length reply - should have written LONG at the beginning, but it was not a dissertation, just my personal informal response to the 11 points. (dis
  22. After being in Mongolia for jungyo Kaio was inspired by his Mongolian fans. (Bearded disguise...)
  23. One more video http://news.gogo.mn/video/news/39925
  24. Mongolian jungyo just started. ;-) http://news.gogo.mn/video/news/39923
  25. Sumo is at its best when behavior is not a topic of discussion at all. Then we can talk about why the sumo is good or bad, or why yokozunae are winning or struggling, or who's up 'n' coming or sinking fast, or why so-and-so keeps changing his mawashi color, or even the changing color of Dejima's legs. Matta and henka are also cool things to hash out, as well as Homasho's tachiai (or lack of it) and kosho (or lack of it). Harite is something else that's puzzling - if it's such a bad idea, then why does everybody keep doing it? And if you think the current ozeki are so bad, how about comparing them to the ones from days of yore - you'll change your mind, I think. Behavior? Who needs to talk about behavior? Sumo boring? Never. :-D It seems that Asa's behavior and his life take more attention than henka and matta. Good or bad sumo is not discussed here as often as Asa
