ilovesumo Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 I remember THE FACE of Takanohana... sometimes it just breaks out.... (Applauding...)
Harry Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 I didn't realize he was cut down by his own sword bearer! Does that happen often? Would the database record anything like that?
Jakusotsu Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 I didn't realize he was cut down by his own sword bearer! Has Aminishiki really been acting as tachimochi today? I know they bring on a substitute whenever both attendants are fighting each other, but how about meeting the master?

The Russian site had that photo, and I knew it was probably a file shot, but I couldn't resist using it.

I should have realized it though as his knee isn't wrapped in that picture. They wouldn't wait until after the dohyo-iri to wrap a knee, would they? Looks like he has a 5 o'clock shadow in the henka pictures too. Edited March 12, 2008 by Harry

Just checked my recording, it was Ryuo as the tsuyuharai and Kasugao as the tachimochi.

I may be wrong, but I think I never saw Aminishiki with a knee bandage at the yokozuna dohyo iri. He always wraps it afterwards and so does Asasekiryu. edit: Haaaaaah, no I am wrong, I actually saw him with a wrapped knee, seems I was distracted by his face or something (Applauding...)
