Fukurou Posted September 17, 2010 Author Posted September 17, 2010 (edited) Day 7 Another withdrawal and 2 returns: East Sandanme 73 WAKAYUKI (0-3, fusen day 5) is withdrawing. On the other hand, West Makushita 33 FUKUNOHANA (0-2, fusen day 3, withdrew day 5) is returning on day 7. Also returning is West Jonidan Jonokuchi 21 AOIMARU, who has been absent from day 1. Asashosakari Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 (edited) Also returning is West Jonidan 21 AOIMARU, who has been absent from day 1. Jonokuchi. (Applauding...) His third consecutive basho in which he's starting late, the last two times he appeared from Day 11, getting in two bouts each (all wins). Anybody know what the deal is? Must be an odd injury that allowed him to do limited competition already four months ago, but that still hinders him from going in full-time again now... Edited September 17, 2010 by Asashosakari
Achiyama Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 What happened with Aratoshi Jd21 (the Nagoya jonokuchi yusho winner)? He had 2 wins on days 2 and 3, and then disappered. I didn't see anybody posting his withdrawal. Is he hurt? Is he gonna be back? Does anybody know anything about him? Achiyama
Zentoryu Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 What happened with Aratoshi Jd21 (the Nagoya jonokuchi yusho winner)? Is he hurt? Is he gonna be back? Does anybody know anything about him? He's fine. He dropped to 2-1 after a loss to Aonosho on Day 6 in a bout that wasn't listed in the Day 6 results post and wasn't picked up by the Sumo DB. He's scheduled to face Jd25 Mori today (Day 8).

There, he is enlisted with a record of 2-0-1, and there is no bout of his posted for day 8 ??? Achiyama Edited September 19, 2010 by Achiyama

Day 6 and Day 8 the Torikumi for Jonidan division started from Jd25 to the end, missing the ones for Jd1 to Jd24. As Aratoshi is Jd21, there was no info about his bouts. But now everything is fixed. Thanks for those who are responsible for the Sumo reference website and have fixed the problem. Best Regards, Achiyama Edited September 20, 2010 by Achiyama
Asashosakari Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 What was the problem? Guessing from the outside: I think the fix to Harimaumi's shikona messed up the automation.
Doitsuyama Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 What was the problem? Guessing from the outside: I think the fix to Harimaumi's shikona messed up the automation. Correct. The grabber identifies the rikishi by matching the shikona (it must be unique so it's a good match, other than the rank which can have multiple makushita tsukedashi for instance). All "corrected" shikona must be matched specifically, and I forgot to upload the new program.
Fukurou Posted September 21, 2010 Author Posted September 21, 2010 Day 11 East Makushita 33 ARAUMI (2-3) has withdrawn.
Fukurou Posted September 23, 2010 Author Posted September 23, 2010 Day 12 Fusen Winless East Makushita 44 INOUE remains winless with his non-appearance on day 12.
Fukurou Posted September 23, 2010 Author Posted September 23, 2010 Day 13 Winless East Makushita 44 INOUE (0-6, fusen day 12) is withdrawing. Two Jonokuchi rikishi are beginning their tournaments on day 13 so they will remain on the banzuke: West Jonokuchi 27 SOTENRYU (absent from day 1) West Jonokuchi 31 TOCHIMINATO (absent from day 1)
Jakusotsu Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Hokutoriki isn't listed on the Day 14 torikumi, so I guess Asasekiryu will get his KK by fusensho today.
Kintamayama Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Hokutouriki is out with a sprained cervical vertebrae, two weeks rest. "It's an old head injury that was re-injured. He will be examined more closely soon," said Hakkaku Oyakata.
Fukurou Posted September 24, 2010 Author Posted September 24, 2010 Day 13 Fusen West Jonidan 46 ANJYORYU completes a winless basho by not appearing for his day 13 match.
