Yes unbelievably because he has "regular flu" and not "pig flu" they are letting him and nearly all of Takasago beya continue so that they can make everyone else sick! There are quite a few rikishi with the flu and they are being isolated at hotels not the heyas but still they have to spend time in the shitakubeya and on the dohyo... ;-)

Anyway it is good he has a chance to get his kachikoshi but he said it is impossible to fight well with a 39 degree fever and cold sweats!

Day 9 MIA

East Makushita 40 SEIROU (0-5) did not appear for his day 9 match. East Makushita 45 MATSUMIDORI (1-4) achieved his first win by default.

News from the blog-

Kaminoyama might return after a few days, still unsure. His boss is likely to give his deshi time to heal, rather then kick him up the dohyo. As an expert in knee-injuries, he knows well what it means to carry one for all his life.

Day 12 in Sandame

E89 Daigoki got the win over E95 Kirikoma who was sick (Byoki kyujo)

a few minutes later ...

E83 Kyokuhikari got the win over E72 Kasugasato who was also Byoki Kyujo. (apparently Kasugasato is having his round of the flu very bad!)
