Koneko 0 Posted October 30, 2008 Little Kainokura who struggled to get out of Jonokuchi is now at Jd45. Has he been lucky or is he shaping up faster than I thought he would? Anyway, I'm very proud of my adoptee. (Clapping wildly...) Hoping for another KK from him - not too big, mind, slow and steady is best. One day at the time, one leg in front of the other, nothing he can't handle. Gambatte, kid! Work hard, sleep well, and enjoy life. I love following these young kids. When the scandals run my enthusiasm down, I read about these boys and the enjoyment comes back. Following them has become an important part of sumo now. Thank you, Martina. Mark Buckton 1 Posted November 9, 2008 Kaisei: Makushita East 50All rikishi aim Kachikoshi! (^o^)丿 lacklustre start in Fukuoka for Kaisei. :-) Beaten by the experience of Daishoyama more than anything and fell victim to stamina - was rather easily stood up and walked out backwards after about a minute after giving up a right hand on the mawashi. Looks like he still has hi ® knee trouble too - taped up

Fay 1,677 Posted February 6, 2009 01.02.09 Yesterday, as you know, we received shocking news (from Wakakirin). Tomozuna Oyakata contacted all our rikishi and confirmed that none of our rikishi has anything to do with drugs. Yesterday was the last day of our holiday after the basho but all rikishi decided to stay at the heya until Tomozuna oyakata returned from the NSK and talked to them. Not only our rikishi but also most of all other rikishi dedicate their lives to Sumo and spend their lives sincerely. However we wonder how much we can watch their lives from early morning until night ... The keys are communication and trust. We teach them continuously as much as we can and we trust them. We hope they respond to our sincerity as well. Having said that however, we deeply apologize to all fans, as members of the NSK, for this unbelievable incident. 02.02.09 Kaio is under treatment of appendicitis. He was suffering from stomach ache since Day 12 of Hatsu Basho After the Senshurakuparty the ache became even worse. First it was diagnosed as colon bacillus because of tiredness and strain, but later, one found out that it is appendicitis. The doctor judged that an operation wasn't necessary, it could be cured by infusion and other medicine. He is recovering from it day by day and is planning to restart training soon. If the appendicitis would have happened just before Hatsu Basho he wouldn't have been able to continue his sumo-life ... Therefore he thinks he still has very good luck! 04.02.09 Have you guys (and gals) watched our "Movie album" on the website? We have updated it with some new ones. Please watch! Fay 1,677 Posted March 6, 2009 <1st March> It's been 45 years since Tomozuna Oyakata left his home to become a rikishi. Now, he is one of the directors of NSK. 45 years ago, he didn't imagine that he would spend such busy days! Since last year, he didn't have a holiday. Everyday, he has to go somewhere in his responsibility for NSK. Of course, he trains his rikishi every morning! Kainowaka, Kaishinho, Kainoryu, Kainokura and Tomokazu departed to Osaka today! Kaishoryu, Kaisei, Kaishin, Kaisenryu, Kainomiya and Kainofuji are already in Osaka since last Friday. <4th March> The banzuke of Osaka basho was announced on Monday.
