Fay 1,677 Posted July 15, 2006 Look at the teddybear on his towel - cuuuuuuuuute! (Bye, bye...) very cute ;-) Roho and Taikai managed it to leave the Dohyo (with a little bow) without slapping each other once again, if some members of this noble sumo forum stood there, I'm not so sure what would happen .... Kintamayama 47,278 Posted July 15, 2006 Kintamayama - You are crying out louder then anybody here.May be you thinck it do you more right. Yes, but some, (very few..) happen to agree with me. Rohou should be punished severely. Now, he is groveling and begging forgiveness from everyone around him. BTW, how is Karaev?

Mark Buckton 1 Posted July 15, 2006 (edited) if this link to a Mainichi story http://mdn.mainichi-msn.co.jp/national/new...0na005000c.html serves no other purpose than to divert your attention for a few seconds and leave you confused - success! Opinions belong to the individual. Some are daft and some are funny but you can count on the Mainichi to leave you scratching your head. This thread won't carry any winner's name at the end of the day so sit back and wait for the morrow when Roho will be ''kyujo'' and NHK will be told not to go too deep on the issue - to let it die - for now till the NSK have time to think. Standard Japanese diffusion techniques - pretend it isn't there - and it isn't! I'm going to bed. Edited July 15, 2006 by Adachinoryu

Babaryutaikai 1 Posted July 15, 2006 Time for my one cent addition. I happen to like both Chiyotaikai AND Roho very much. Both have always been nothing other than friendly and gracious to me, even after a defeat. Unfortunately, I am not in Nagoya this year, but I must say that from all of my experience and contact with Chiyo, my opinion is that his expression was querulous and concerned. I've seen him angry during asageiko, and that was not his angry face. Also, for the writer who posted "Do you mean it's a shame that Sumo popularity didn't stay within USA borders, where all the true fans (I mean, experts) are", Kinta did not say anything of the sort. He mentioned no nationality - just generally Europe. He is not, in fact, American, nor does he live in North America (or South, for that matter) or Asia, so he would certainly not be one to talk about sumo within the U.S. borders (such as they are (Bye, bye...) . ) Kinta was the one who brought us all that great stuff about Sadogatake in Israel. Kinta just happens to be multilingual - and fluently so.

Cammy 0 Posted July 15, 2006 Need I remind that Asashoryu, current Dai-Yokozuna had many incidents of bad behavior in his early yokozuna days. Should he have been thrown out with the trash? Oh if we could of been so lucky...jk No matter what was said, there should of still been a bow. I think Fay has the right idea of going and getting a beer (Sign of approval) Can't wait til after I get off work to see if there are like 7 pages.
Gusoyama 105 Posted July 15, 2006 Am I the only one who thinks that Kinta may be having a laugh on us? I never know when he's being sarcastic or not. Anywhoo, I'm curious how Roho will do tomorrow, especially with a pretty messed up hand(look at the picture with the bloody towel around his hand!)
Shibouyama 1 Posted July 15, 2006 Picture taken moments before the photographer was attacked by Rohou; "I don't remember what I answered him, but it was not good", said Rohou after calming down. Rijichou: "Rohou's punishment? I just issued him a warning, and that's it!!" Maybe Roho just wanted a little attention. Where is his mother when you need her? Terarno 47 Posted July 15, 2006 So Roho only gets a warning ??? (Bye, bye...) They should take this opportunity to deal some punishment, before some other young guys (Baruto, Kisenosato...) think that dismanners and trash talking are not persecuted.

They should take this opportunity to deal some punishment, before some other young guys (Baruto, Kisenosato...) think that dismanners and trash talking are not persecuted. Hey, Kisenosato is the golden boy of Japanese sumo, therefore he is not capable of anything approaching bad manners. Isn't it only foreigners who have bad manners? Seriously, what Japanese rikishi could be accused of having bad manners?
