Kintamayama 44,854 Posted January 18, 2007 You can add Toyonoshima's blog which has some nice pictures. He doesn't update it during the basho. http://plaza.rakuten.co.jp/toyo19830626/

Bix Poku 1 Posted May 20, 2007 Seems that this "How to tie a mawashi" link is broken. Let say, I have a little interest in trying amateur sumo, but I have not a clue how to do it.
Sasanishiki 57 Posted May 21, 2007 (edited) Seems that this "How to tie a mawashi" link is broken. Let say, I have a little interest in trying amateur sumo, but I have not a clue how to do it. The new link is: http://www.e-sanpuku.co.jp/sumo/howto_en.html I've fixed the link in the list above. Edited May 21, 2007 by Sasanishiki

Hakuyobaku 33 Posted August 24, 2007 There's a Russian Sumo forum as well. Strange URL though - http://217.170.115.86/forum/sumo/index.php , but it's hosted at japan-sumu.ru

Babaryutaikai 1 Posted March 17, 2008 Doitsuyama's Ōzumō ratingsI can't seem to link to Doitsuyama's site. Doesn't it have a different URL rather than just the number? Something, I think with db in it?
Doitsuyama 1,178 Posted March 17, 2008 Doitsuyama's Ōzumō ratingsI can't seem to link to Doitsuyama's site. Doesn't it have a different URL rather than just the number? Something, I think with db in it? That server is out. The ratings will be integrated into Sumo Reference, but no timetable is set.

Akinomaki 40,230 Posted October 22, 2015 (edited) The article above refers to the present new exhibition at the sumo museum. The exhibition changes every 2 months and so does the page on the NSK site: http://www.sumo.or.jp/sumo_museum/display/list The Japanese full text is only available during the time of the exhibition, afterwards just the short overview remains: who can read it, should save the page in time. The pictures though remain on site (for the last 2.5 years), with the same date as the small pic in the exhibition history respectively, no. 1 to 8 or up to14, in this format: www.sumo.or.jp/img/sumo_museum/151020_01.jpg Edited October 22, 2015 by Akinomaki

Asashosakari 19,110 Posted November 7, 2015 (edited) Why do you keep posting these article links in this thread? Everything posted here recently with the exception of kawika's post should probably be moved to Sumo articles. Amanogawa 79 Posted November 21, 2015 Toyonoshima's blog is a very hilarious one! Kintamayama already introduced the site, but it seems to have been moved now, and he's updating semi-constantly, not during basho of course though. In August he was giving guessing quiz. He puts a picture of a back shot of a rikishi only wearing an underwear ( usually perky and colorful! ) to have readers guess who the rikishi is. The next day he puts the answer ( and usually another quiz ). Kind of hard to guess right. Quiz: http://ameblo.jp/toyonoshima-daiki/entry-12060288876.html The answer (and the next quiz ): http://ameblo.jp/toyonoshima-daiki/entry-12060573759.html
