Guest Kotooshu Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 Hello all, I am a musician working in Prague, CZ. I have a friend in my orchestra who is from Japan, he introduced me to Sumo and often tells me interesting things about Sumo history. I watch Sumo on Eurosport, but unfortunately, the tournaments are aired about 3-4 weeks after the end of the tournament, so I already know the results from the internet. But I still like to watch, it is a truly great sport.
Fay Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 Hi and welcome to the forum. Have fun and enjoy it. (Applauding...)
Fujisan Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Welcome to the forum Kotooshu_Czech republic (In jonokuchi...) Chuck in your salt :-( and join the fray. Dont moan to much about knowing the results before the basho because some of us cant watch it at all, anyway you can always see it on the sumo stream live. (In jonokuchi...)
Doitsuyama Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Dont moan to much about knowing the results before the basho I wouldn't exactly moan in this case. The basho might become a tad boring, but the games will be a rousing success then. (In jonokuchi...) (Sign of approval) :-( -- Now I'm following Kintamayama and kill myself.
Jejima Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 (edited) Welcome (In jonokuchi...) Do you know about www.banzuke.com? If you go there, you can click on the links to the movies - provided by Dale and Doitsuyama :-( Each day's bouts are usually put up (with English commentary for the Makunouchi bouts) fairly soon after they occur. Of course you can watch it live over the internet by going to the NSK stream (see at the top of this page for the link). But best to get online early, as it often fills up quick, and doesn't allow late-comers a chance to view (In jonokuchi...) Edited April 29, 2006 by Jejima
Coo-cook Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Welcome Kotooshu from Czech Republic to the forum. I cheer for Ama from Czech Republic ( Takanoyama) too.
