Guest Kotooshu

Hello all, I am a musician working in Prague, CZ. I have a friend in my orchestra who is from Japan, he introduced me to Sumo and often tells me interesting things about Sumo history.

I watch Sumo on Eurosport, but unfortunately, the tournaments are aired about 3-4 weeks after the end of the tournament, so I already know the results from the internet. But I still like to watch, it is a truly great sport.

Welcome to the forum Kotooshu_Czech republic (In jonokuchi...)

Chuck in your salt :-( and join the fray.

Dont moan to much about knowing the results before the basho because some of us cant watch it at all, anyway you can always see it on the sumo stream live. (In jonokuchi...)

I wouldn't exactly moan in this case. The basho might become a tad boring, but the games will be a rousing success then.

Welcome (In jonokuchi...)

Do you know about www.banzuke.com? If you go there, you can click on the links to the movies - provided by Dale and Doitsuyama :-( Each day's bouts are usually put up (with English commentary for the Makunouchi bouts) fairly soon after they occur.

Of course you can watch it live over the internet by going to the NSK stream (see at the top of this page for the link). But best to get online early, as it often fills up quick, and doesn't allow late-comers a chance to view (In jonokuchi...)
