Golynohana 319 Posted June 29, 2005 For those, who dont know it yet - banzuke for all three Sekitori Games are now up. And I made promotions in all of them (Eating...) To Juryo in Toto and Oracle and to Sanyaku in Quadrumvirate (Blushing...) BTW, Can I ask Zenjimoto to give me back my polish citizenship in sekitori-toto banzuke ... (Eh?) Zenjimoto 40 Posted June 29, 2005 (edited) BTW, Can I ask Zenjimoto to give me back my polish citizenship in sekitori-toto banzuke ... (Eating...) NO! You have been assimilated, since you are playing too well! (Blushing...) Well, OK... there you go (Eh?) Yes, the banzukae are up now. Highlights include a new Oracle Yokozuna in Gachinco, who more than deserves it with 3 career Yusho and records of 12-3 and 13-2 at Ozeki East. Ekigozan fills the Ozeki void left behind, with a Yusho and solid performances. Some marked weirdness in the Toto banzuke Joijin ranks, as usual, which may raise a few eyebrows, but at the current level of competition, a mere 8-7 just isn't good enough to keep your rank in the Sanyaku, sorry :-) By the way, I notice that my Toto banzuke file keeps getting HUGER for no apparent reason, and I suspect my editor (Netscape Composer crap!) just adds stuff to it without me knowing. Anybody got any ideas why this is getting to ridiculous proportions now? Is there some downloadable software that will clean up the HTML and only keep what's needed? :-P Cheers! The best editor I know is "Phase 5", I don't know a download link, Google will help there.
Terarno 46 Posted June 29, 2005 At Sekitori Oracle, I was W-Makushita 35 for Natsu Basho, and I did a terrible 2-13 during this tournament. But when I look to the new Banzuke, I'm still W-Makushita 35, with the "Kosho" status under my shikona as a result for Natsu. I guess it's better than with a 2-13, but I'm afraid it's not fair for the other players.

Grrrr, Netscape composer really really really sucks! ;-) OK, I will start looking for another... any ideas how I can clean up the existing code, tho, other than going in and manually deleting all the crap, which will no doubt cause the page to develop further errors :-) Cheers Zenjimoto

True , our pages are riddled with endless and needless codes, but in the end, the customer sees the results, and not the dust that lies within. I have an html cleaner that cleans it up a bit, but still, I get by.. It's called htmlshrinker. If you need it, give me a buzz on the usual channel.

My pages never get THAT heavy..
Zenjimoto 40 Posted June 29, 2005 Thanks all for the feedback! I applied HTML Shrinker to the page, and lo and behold, it shrank to about a third the size, check it out: http://www.anasuya.com/toto/banzuke.html Hope it still displays OK for y'all... on my end it looks good! ;-) Thanks again! Asashosakari 18,959 Posted June 30, 2005 http://www.anasuya.com/toto/banzuke.htmlHope it still displays OK for y'all... on my end it looks good! :-P <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, but that killed all the whitespace, while leaving the thousands of excess center tags in... ;-) Not pretty, but it'll do, I suppose. :-) In case Moti sent you the Pro (pay) version of HTML Shrinker (I promise I won't sic the Feds on you if he did :-D), there seems to be an option to remove "empty tag attributes", which may take care of the center tags. Zenjimoto 40 Posted June 30, 2005 Good news! :-P Yes, as you say, it eliminates the white spaces (and GEE, I never knew "nothing" would take so much storage space!!) :-) But, with the whites gone, I can simply use WordPad (which has no other REAL use) and replace all the <center><center><center> passages with "nothing", and BINNNNG, the file sizes shrink immensely, moving me almost to tears! ;-) Big cheers! Asashosakari 18,959 Posted June 30, 2005 and BINNNNG, the file sizes shrink immensely, moving me almost to tears! ;-) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Heh, clever use of multiple programs. :-) Down to only about 8% of the filesize you originally started with, not bad. Moti never uses pirate software. It is a well-studied axiom. I refute all allegations!
