No Conditioning Required?!?

I ran across this quote at the end of this article. http://www.nctimes.com/articles/2005/03/31...5_203_30_05.txt

Either Mr. Sabo was misquoted or he doesn't understand the true nature of the conditionaing necessary to really excel at sumo?!?

"Possibly the best advantage from a competitor's point of view is (sumo) requires no conditioning," he said. "If you've been on the couch for the last 10 or 20 years, but you used to play ball or wrestle, you at least know what you're doing." (Oceanside, CA club founder, Trent Sabo) yikes! (Sign of disapproval)

Wow... Just wow. (Being unsure...) I'm going to walk away from this and pretend he did not just say that. Wow.

I think he's saying that in order to encourage more people to join. saying you don't need to be in spectacular shape to begin
