Nikoshoryu 0 Posted December 9, 2004 Hi ! Many of you have been asking us for the translations of our articles, as they can't read french. It's been a long time since the first requests, but here's the story : At first, we thought it would be too much work for us, so we had to refuse. Then, we started thinking that it wouldn't be such a bad idea... but still, we couldn't do it ourselves. So, that's when we "recruited" a few volunteers, who started to translate the whole mag. But it quickly became clear that having the translated articles would still require too much work to build an entire issue in english, so the project fell asleep. And it woke up some weeks ago, when we decided that everything did not have to be translated. So we (hum, the translators) concentrated only on some of the "major" articles, that we'd put online on webpages. And today... in the name of the MDS (the french mag) and the MDS-e (the english one) crews, I am proud to announce you all that these translated articles are now available online on our website : http://www.lemondedusumo.com So, if you go there, you will find (among others) : - how to read a banzuke - Musashimaru's danpatsu-shiki - the departure of Takanonami - the retrospective on Kagamisato - ... and much more ! As you will discover these new pages, you will probably find mistakes of all sorts, in the texts or in the layout, so I'd like to ask to to help us keep the english section alive by reporting all you'd see. And before I let you enjoy it, I really want to thank all the translators and proofreaders for doing such a nice work, and above all for being so patient during the last months !
