Kintamayama 47,337 Posted October 5 (edited) Houshouryuu revealed that he had dislocated his right index finger in the senshuraku match against Oonosato, when he beat him on that final day of Aki basho. On the 4th, he participated in the danpatsushiki of Minatogawa Oyakata (former Ozeki Takakeishou),at the Kokugikan. At the hair-cutting ceremony, he used the scissors, and then took part in the dohyo-iri and bout. Afterwards, in an interview, he revealed, "On the final day, various things happened - I dislocated my right index finger, and then fought the playoff bout." In the main bout, he defeated Oonosato, who he was trailing by one win, but he was not at his best for the playoff match, where he was tied with Oonosato at 13 wins and 2 losses. He aimed to make a comeback and win his first yusho as a Yokozuna and his third overall, but fell short. After the bout, he did not respond to interviews and left. Yesterday, he addressed Minatogawa Oyakata at the danpatsushiki, , saying,I hope he continues to do his best in the future," expressing his expectations. When Minatogawa was still active, they faced each other 11 times, with Minatogawa winning 8 and losing 3. "I felt he was my rival," he said, recalling that Minatogawa was an opponent he didn't want to lose to. Edited October 5 by Kintamayama 1
