Yobidashi finds fountain of youth?

This needs to be addressed. The best yobidashi by far is Kunio. Most of the others are tone deaf or very nearly tone deaf. Kunio has a great voice. But that's not why I'm here. He's 52 years old. Never seen anything like it in any amusement hall. Impossible. I would really like to know his secret. This is seriously troubling me, as I'm 71 but I look 104 and three months. In real life he looks even younger.

Yes, he has the best voice in ozumo. I can throw the weight of my five degrees in music behind this statement.

In the oyakata division, I've seen similar comments online about Hanaregoma/Tamanoshima and Tatsunami/Asahiyutaka (the latter of whom has always looked super young for a guy in his 50s, now approaching 60)

And while we're at it: Tanigawa/Hokutoriki *must* have a deal with Dorian Gray's painter!

Kunio is good-looking too. He could have been a popstar.

Ah. I understand what happened.

He was going to try and get into the music business but the gods of sumo wanted him in the ring.

They made a deal with him that he would have eternal youth, but in return he would have to forego superstardom.

I was thinking something similar earlier today...

All of those names mentioned here possess immaculate, lustrous, perfectly kept (and, in most cases, dyed) black hair.

...and some of them might even share it.

Then it follows logically that Ajigawa (Aminishiki) is Adonis.

The kyokai is leaving money on the table. I'd buy a Kunio album. Ex-Ikkioi too.

Hell, I bought the last kyokai album, and it didn't have anyone except tone-deaf oyakata singing.
