Munich Sumo fan

Recommended Posts

After some posts I will finally introduce myself :-/

I am a huge, female (Whistling...) sumofan from Munich (Bavaria). I start with the german sumonforum.de but after receiving sumo Maling liste for quite a time, I want to broaden my horizon and I think sumoforum.net is a good place to do so (Sign of approval)

I am also interested in Japanese and european history (my shikona is the name of the famous 12.century female warrior Tomoe Gozen) and warfare (before 1821), classic (and other good) movies and in painting Tin and Resin Figures (my avatar is a little example; this flat tin figure is originaly 30mm in height).

My favorite rikishis are Takanonami, Wakanohana, Takanohana (and all the old, now retired Futagoyama guys) and the most members of the modern version of the 13. century Mongol invasion (more peaceful and successful this time ;-) )

For this basho I cheer for Kaio and hope he will finally get his well earned Yokozuna promotion.

I hope my english is not to bad and you are able to understand me (Showing respect...) and we can have a good time together in the wonderful world of sumo and all sumo related topics. (Clapping wildly...)

Your English is better than mine! Welcome to the forum... even though you were a part of it before I was.... :-)

Welcome from a neighbour (from Holland), Tomoe-zeki! Nice to have another woman on board (almost wrote that to Whitney too (Showing respect...) )

WOW, where did you find that tin rikishi? Great painting job!

I'm a Dungeons & Dragons player (although it's been a loooong time since I've had a good game session; all the members of my group are having children lately...) and I used to paint tin and resin figures too, of about the same size. Not rikishi, but dragons, wizards, knights, elves, orcs etc.

I've always had the plan to build a rikishi-like warrior character once. Imagine a Musashimaru-lookalike with a huge club charging into a band of orcs ;-) Gee, I would really love to get my hands on a figure like your avatar!

I am a huge female

how big are you exactly?

(Spooky TV program...) When I read this, I was actually thinking Tomoe was a fan of huge female sumo athletes. Rie Tsuihiji came to mind. There is a photo of her in the World Championships thread in Amasumo Discussions subforum...

Sharp as ever Nishi

Nice to meet another painter (Hugging...) at an unexpected place.

I paint a bit of everything, but my main subjects are napoleonic armies, Japan, filmcharakters and fantasy (orc's for example :-D ) If you are able to understand some German you can try Hz-Forum for the historic tin figures and Gluetrain Manifesto for the rest.

I bought the little Takanonami about 6 years ago at Kulmbach, but thince than I have never seen them again :-)

Here is another one (Akinoshima :-D ).

welcome Tomoe.

English is difficult but be proud that your English is better than most native English speaker's German will ever be. (Hugging...)
