Takayasu nearly won the yusho in March. Is he spent? Or can he go one further this basho?

Oshoumi had four days of 'yasumi' (off) last basho. Hopefully, he is back to fighting fitness.

This will be Kayo's first basho in Makunouchi. He's 5 foot 6-and-a-half inches tall.

J6E Meletyoshi has been granted J1W Kusano.

Kusano won the Juryo Yusho 14-1 in March. I think an excellent draw for Meletyoshi!

Anyone who follows Bench Sumo will know that Kaba will be VERY happy with that draw!

J9E Martamami will be all in on J1E Mitakeumi.

It will be Mitakeumi's third career basho in Juryo. (Last time was almost 10 years ago.)
