Jejima Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Please refer to this thread for explanation. Please choose your favourite 2025 sekitori in each of these pairings. The winners will progress to the next round. There is a window of 24 - 25 hours to vote. This poll is anonymous (although moderators can see who voted, to make sure there is no rigging of the vote), but please feel free to add your comments below.
Athenayama Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Poor Hakuyozan with 0 votes. I don't like you but you can have mine ! Shiden had great fighting spirit this basho despite obviously being injured.. I liked him. Yeah... Asakoryu. I also like the guy. In addition Wakatakakage caused me some cold sweats in Bench Sumo....

I won't vote for Hakuyozan against many at all, but Tohakuryu? I'll pick the big guy. In contrast to that match will be many more unlucky to not progress.
Reonito Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Tough draw for Asakoryu, who might otherwise have done quite well.
Jakusotsu Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Judging by the very first question, this is going to be fun. Why isn't there an option for "dump them both"?
Jejima Posted February 3 Author Posted February 3 Ugh. For the first time (I never had to do it in last year's competition), I need to give the casting vote for the first match-up. I will give it to Tohakuryu, on the basis that he has had at least visited the Makunouchi division (for a single basho!).

His style is extremely negative, but at least he doesn't give guys an extra shove at the end after pretty much every bout.
Jakusotsu Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Don't worry. No matter whom you're giving a bye, either of them is bound to crumble next round.
