Guess Ura's Aite - July 2024 edition

Recommended Posts

Hmmmmm, okay....

Day 1 - Onosho

2 - Gonoyama

I am worried that I have made a mistake with my day 2 prediction (looking at the picks of others) - but I am not sure what... (Atamifuji being in Isegahama-beya? Can't see how that will affect day 2, though....) If I am wrong, please can the day 2 Tobizaru (which would be my next choice) pickers tell me why....

I'm prepared to change this on the probability someone drops out early (Chiyshoma's already gone!), but:

3. Shonannoumi

As I wrote long ago: I am too old for this game!
I don't understand the train.

Day 3 Tobizaru!

It depends on what you believe the intra-sanyaku pairings are going to be.

...or if Tobizaru's scheduled aite goes kyujo. Three players got lucky, I daresay.

So, why was Shonannoumi the 'correct' pick for day 3? I wish to learn!

Simply look at the Sanyaku torikumi, which is exactly as predicted. That left Takayasu for Tobizaru.

Indeed, unless the predicted a Takayasu kyujo, which could have been possible after the Day 1 bouts.
