Fair enough!

Although I do have to point out that, if we're going by geographical areas, the Netherlands is the smallest winner at 41k km^2, and it wasn't named. You could fit three Netherlandses inside Greece (131k km^2) and Czechoslovakia (128k km^2)! :-D

I did not mention Netherlands as a "small country, as their results in WC (3 finals, all 3 lost) and EC (winner '88) make them a real big wig.

Hello, players, it’s the very time of a new game. The deadline is over, no more changes, I had to set it up earlier, because I don’t have any weekend yet. The kick-off is in 3 hours. Are you already excited? As I read and saw on TV, there is already a great vibe in Munich, I remember when I had luck to be there in 2006, it was fantastic.

Let me introduce the players of my two groups, as well as the line-ups you are all waiting for.

A technical note – although I understand the reason of using “Turkiye” (Türkiye), due to technical reasons, I still will use the English name Turkey. Unless I will be pressured to change it. ;-)

One more note – I don’t know my July work schedule yet, in June I will work in normal shifts already (except of today), so I think I will be able to send out the daily results after the 21:00 match, if I won’t, I’ll send you a notice here.

The partial results after the kick-off will be posted only tomorrow, maybe separately, maybe only together with results of Day 2.

Let’s go, here come the teams:

The word was "start" from my Grandson, but when I sent it to Nekonishiki my broken hand missed the "s".

No need for your mockery!

That was not meant as mockery. This is a fun game and I guess we all should have much fun, irrespective of the results. And as I had some excellent tart this afternoon I just could not resist...  Btw, best wishes for a speedy recovery of your broken hand.

Group A Round 1 - Day 1 :

Kuma Koma will score right from the start with Germany, his (R) team. We still need to find out if it will be 1 or 2 goals. Tanetakahiro needs absolutely Portugal to win to stay alive. However this result will come much later (on day 5 !) so we'll have to wait !

Kuma Koma     Goal H Chain H   Goal A Chain A   Tanetakahiro
1. Germany ® W -     -       Portugal
2. Denmark   -     -       Netherlands ©
3. Switzerland   -     -       England
4. Netherlands   -     -       Switzerland

7. Ukraine   -     -       Croatia
8. Austria   -     -       Slovakia
9. Albania ©   -     -     L Scotland ®

A win for Nekonishiki, a loss for Jakusotsu but if it is too soon to tell anything concrete we already know that Jakusotsu needs Switzerland to win if he doesn't want his chain to break there.

Nekonishiki     Goal H Chain H   Goal A Chain A   Jakusotsu

Group B – Refioji Nekonishiki - Round 1 – Day 1-2

Koorifuu (Spain) vs Kimyama (Croatia)

The players have positioned the losing teams well. Koorifuu’s (R) team is in good place, but Kimyama’s is at the best possible slot.

Jarayama (Italy) vs Krisachiyama (Albania)

Jarayama’s (R) team is winning in the furst slot. Krisachiyama has wins in Slots #2 and #3 and the losing (R) team is in safe place.
Real goals can be expected tomorrow.

Group E – Refioji Nekonishiki - Round 1 – Day 1-2

Jejima’s chain will break in Slot #7 at latest, but there is a chance for #6. Sorry, but nothing more can be said yet.

Asapedroryu (Belgium) vs Nantonoyama (Slovakia)

The first green slot, both players have a win in #1, no goal, but a very good start.
Asapedroryu has one more winner, Nantonoyama has two.

Group A Round 1 - Day 2 :

Kuma-Koma adds up wins like a nice neckless of pearls. Let's see how productive will that be. Tanetakahiro Gets his first win at the 5th spot.
Overall the Hungarian player seems to be in a slightly better position up to now.

Kuma Koma     Goal H Chain H   Goal A Chain A   Tanetakahiro
1. Germany ® W -     -       Portugal
2. Denmark   -     -       Netherlands ©
3. Switzerland W -     -       England
4. Netherlands   -     -     W Switzerland
5. Spain W -     -       Romania
6. Czechia   -     -       Serbia
7. Ukraine   -     -     L Croatia
8. Austria   -     -       Slovakia
9. Albania © L -     -     L Scotland ®

As delicate was his position yesterday, things went much better for Jakusotsu today. He's already scored one goal (spot 4) thanks to his (R) team neutralizing at the same time his opponent's win of the Nationalmannschaft. Nothing is over yet as the win of Italy might be useless since Turkey will have good hopes to win also. In addition the loss of Croatia makes things difficult for Jakusotsu at spot 5 as Nekonishiki appears strong there with Portugal.

Nekonishiki     Goal H Chain H   Goal A Chain A   Jakusotsu
1. Turkey   -     -     W Italy
2. Belgium   -     -       England
3. Denmark ©   -     -       Portugal
4. Germany W -     - 1   W Switzerland ®
5. Portugal   -     -     L Croatia
6. Poland   -     -       Slovenia
7. Hungary ® L -     -       Czechia
8. Czechia   -     -       Austria ©
9. Slovakia   -     -     L Scotland

Group C Round 1 - Day 2 :

Two wins for Achiyama, one for Fingall. One loss for both at the same spot. Not enough to comment more. We'll have to wait tomorrow's games.
Achiyama's (R) team Slovenia enters the tournament while no less than three teams will play for Finngall.

Achiyama     Goal H Chain H   Goal A Chain A   Finngall
1. France   -     -       Portugal
2. Belgium   -     -       Denmark ®

7. Croatia L -     -     L Hungary ©
8. Czechia   -     -       Slovakia
9. Austria   -     -       Czechia

This duel is long to start ! One loss for Baku who could cost him if the Danish do the job tomorrow.

Polimasa     Goal H Chain H   Goal A Chain A   Baku
1. France   -     -       England ®
2. Portugal   -     -       Portugal

In my humble opinion I don't see either England or Portugal to lose. Serbia is talented but I believe the favorites will win this round. We'll see.
