eplus ticket site requires Japanese phone and payment - any suggestions or help?

Recommended Posts

Hello to all,

My long-awaited return to Japan finally comes in January. I was hoping to go to all kinds of events and concerts, however I have realised that eplus has a monopoly on ticket sales for many of these. Eplus has an English-language site but only selected events appear there. I was in particular looking at the Kiyotaka Sugiyama and Chemical Brothers concerts on 2024/2/2 and 2024/2/3 respectively.

If anyone has any suggestions or tips to deal with this obstacle, please let me know. Or if anyone is in Japan and willing to discuss some options to help me get my tickets, I'd be forever grateful. I might be able to spoof a phone number somehow but I don't think I'd be able to get the payment completed without some assistance.

Thanks for reading

Use the phone number of the hotel you are booking?

Unfortunately it has to be a mobile number I can verify while buying the tickets. That wouldn't work. I did manage to find a legitimate reseller for tickets to kiyotaka sugiyama though, but they're twice the price so I probably will just settle for the one concert.

If you’re also going to attend Hatsu, have you considered getting the tickets through BuySumoTickets and asking if they’ll help with the other events?

I second Rokudenashi's suggestion.  The buysumotickets.com website specifically says they can arrange concert tickets.  Jeff is the owner of buysumotickets.com and I have dealt with him many times (to arrange sumo tickets) since 2014.  He is honest, efficient and reliable.  https://www.buysumotickets.com/other-events
