He's sitting in the hanamichi right now, humming "Don't go breaking my heart..." Wonder if he's humming Elton's or Kiki's part. Sorry, being a bit talkative today, because I'm so excited, and i just can't hide it... 1

Ura going 9-6 is one of the nicer surprises. I hoped for a not too harsh MK, but i'll take that. And looking at his bouts, it could have been even a 10-5. Eskbibs 72 Posted September 24, 2023 I don't think there's any timeline in which Hokuseiho ever beats Hoshoryu. He's basically the most leg-trippable opponent you've ever seen, and Hoshoryu is something of a leg tripper himself. A bad match-up for him if there ever was one.
Bunbukuchagama 674 Posted September 24, 2023 No kadoban for Hoshoryu. He is a KK machine.

Only 2 bouts to go at 5:15pm IS early. AFAIK they try to control the schedule by how often salt is thrown. Many short bouts, so there's time to kill, let's throw some more salt and vice versa, correct me if i'm wrong. Edited September 24, 2023 by Benihana

Seeing how sumo's schedule (and possibly other sport) has to be synced with TV's, I can't help to think that they must have some role in the game (Yobidashi whispers to Inosuke: Don't make a stupid decision risking a monoii, NHK needs to cut 5 more minutes, see that guy over there, he'll signal you which guy is the winner)
