Group G Round 1 - Day 2 :

2 more results on Bumbachiyama's side. One win (Spain) and one loss (Philippines). No obvious conclusions yet. We still ahve to wait for more results.

Group H Round 1 - Day 2 :

Kumanomusuko gathers more losses but these were expected. For Polimasa also the Canada draw could become a problem.

Well, everybody seems to see a USA loss so I'm extremely worried for Bunbukuchagama! The Canada draw on the other side, paired with the Spain win for Mr Froggy could give him another goal.
More seriously now, Bunbukuchagama should better see USA and Germany wins otherwise....

When I woke up early (!) in the morning, one match was already over.
I had to prepare for work and started working, then began the second match.
But I didn’t find where was it broadcasted, if it was at all. But I already could watch the third match a little finally.

Well, the results were:

Philippines 0 Switzerland 2
Nigeria 0 Canada 0
Spain 3 Costa Rica 0

The tables are starting to be colored finally, however it is still too early to predict anything.

Group A – Refioji Nekonishiki - Round 1 – Day 2

With Canada’s draw, Rhinoshima already has a possible goal in #4.
Both Jakusotsu and Kaba positioned Philippines to the best possible position.

 Group_A_Round_1_2.jpg

Group F – Refioji Nekonishiki - Round 1 – Day 2

Both Lordshamrockyama and Fujiko has a win in Slot #6, and nothing else is sure yet, except that Fujiko’s chain will be broken at latest in Slot #10.
In the other match there is no decided slot yet, Jejima has already a winner in #3 while Spytoneryu in #6.

Very low level of football so far in general (not comparing at all wih men). Japan's the best I've seen so far with Spain.

Of all the "small teams" watched so far, Vietnam, Philippines (sorry Fujiko and Jejima family!), Zambia and Costa Rica are really very weak. The one who impressed me though is Haiti ! Quite good technique from the ladies. Lucky those who chose them. They are fully capable of an upset against China or even Denmark.

My humble opinion.

Group G - Refioji Athenayama - Deadline for Round 2

Bumbachiyama  @Achiyama , CHATGPT @Jejima , Chiyonosora  @Andonishiki , @Finngall

This world cup has really a weird schedule as the last game of round 1 is on the same day as the start of round 2. First game of round 2 starts just a little more than one hour after the last game of round 1 has ended.

So, unfortunately, I'll have to ask you to send me your line ups before the game Colombia - South Korea (Round 1) has been played.

Please send me your line ups in PM here on the forum. Deadline will be on July 24th at 08:00 PM UTC (Universal time). This will allow me to post them on the forum before I go to sleep.

Thanks and good luck!

And it’s already the third day in the first round. Could you watch the matches?
I could follow two matches on German TV, I could find them nowhere else.

Well, the results were:

Spoiler

USA 3 Vietnam 0
Zambia 0 Japan 5
England 1 Haiti 0
Denmark 1 China 0

Group A – Refioji Nekonishiki - Round 1 – Day 3

Winning USA is in good place, but didn’t help to Jakusotsu. Kaba scored a goal with his R team, and it’s already a real one!

Group_A_Round_1_3.jpg

Group F – Refioji Nekonishiki - Round 1 – Day 3

Not much changes, players are collecting wins, England was placed in good positions. Still no decided slots for Spytoneryu and Jejima.

Group G Round 1 - Day 3 :

England's win saves Bumbachiyama in line 2. Still too many possible scenarios here.  Let's say that for the moment Bumbachiyama has the advantage on line 5 but if the German's win, Finngall will kill it on line 3 and we'll have to see what happens on line one. As I said too many scenarios.

Group H Round 1 - Day 3 :

Kumanomusuko saved the day thanks to England (after USA won for Polimasa) and can win this if the Germans win.

Bunbukuchagama has a strong position after USA won. Mr Froggy needs definitely a win of Colombia to remain alive (he also needs Germany not to win). Unfortunately we'll know the outcome most likely only on 25th as Colombia plays the last game of the round!

Meletyoshi 1:0 Ganzohnesushi

Canada D : Germany ©
Switzerland W : Netherlands

Vietnam © L x: Panama
Jamaica x:x L Costa Rica ®

Meletyoshi is leading by 1:0 and is looking good in the next two slots as well. However, if Ganzohnesushi can keep his chain intact he might turn the tables.

Group C - Game 2:

Andonishiki 0:2 aminoumi
(Zambia) (Japan)

USA W Ø:Ø W USA

Vietnam L x:x Portugal
Zambia ® L x:x L Vietnam

No goals for Andonishiki - his beloved daughter already pushed him off the dohyo and might even go 4:0!

Group D - Game 1:

Kuma Koma 1:0 Tanetakahiro
(England) (Haiti)

England ® W 1: Germany
Germany : L Norway
Canada D : W Australia
Sweden : W England
Italy : Netherlands ©
Portugal : W New Zealand
Argentina : Argentina
New Zealand W : Portugal
Morocco : South Africa
Nigeria D : Panama
Panama © :x L Haiti ®

Even with Kuma Koma leading 1:0, the game looks deceivingly open-ended. If you look closely though, there's no way Tanetakahiro can surive, no matter what Germany does. The match goes to Kuma Koma, and Tanetakahiro has Norway to blame.

Group D - Game 2:

Djodjoyoshi 0:0 Achiyama
(Denmark) (China)

USA W : Brazil
France : W USA
Denmark ® W : Germany
Germany : Sweden
Netherlands :x L Norway ©
Switzerland © W :x L China ®
Portugal :x Portugal
New Zealand W Ø:x W New Zealand
Nigeria D :x D Nigeria
South Africa :x South Africa
Philippines L :x Panama

Nothing settled just yet, but it seems likely that Djodjoyoshi will capitalize on his R-team, unless France implodes.

Attention to all players

Please send your Round 2 line-ups in time! Kick-off is Tuesday 5:30am GMT.

I would even say I have already won

With Nekos Chain broken at the latest at 6

Even if Brazil and Germany win as expected (I am not so sure about our german Team) I will score 1-0 at 4

If Italy loses or draws, I would win at least 1-0

An Italian win would be goals for both for uns with Italy, so this should be at least a 2-1 for me

Pitinosato :-)

PS: in my comment I meat that there should be many wins, but this does not necessarily mean many goals...

I always forget these complicated rules... :-S

This world cup has really a weird schedule as the last game of round 1 is on the same day as the start of round 2. First game of round 2 starts just a little more than one hour after the last game of round 1 has ended.

I think that this is quite normal for the the overlap of the first two rounds. I think that there has been at least one time playing Bench football when round 2 has begun before round 1 has ended.

What is weird, is that there will be some round 3 matches *before* round 2 is completed! Surely a first?

This is no prediction, just Maths

(at least if I have understood the rules correctly)

But of course I didn't expect you to do this !!

You have enough work doing the final results

Many thanks for that !!!

Group G Round 1 - Day 4 :

Finngall will score at least one goal in the first line (thank you Sweden in the last minute!) and if Brazil lose Bumbachiyama's chain will be broken.  Tomorrow we'll see who does what.

ChatGPt scores a goal in line 1 but Chiyonosora remains alive. The following lines could see him reverse the score. We'll find out tomorrow!

Group H Round 1 - Day 4 :

Kumanomusuko missed an opportunity in line 3 (disastrous France...).  A Germany win will settle the duel tomorrow but from what we saw so far, you can't be certain for anything!

Kumanomusuko     Goal H Chain H   Goal A Chain A   Polimasa
1. England W -     -     W USA
2. Germany®   -     -     L China
3. France D -     -     D Canada

7. Argentina   -     -       South Korea
8. South Korea   -     -     L Ireland
9. Costa Rica © L -     -       Morocco ®
10. Phillippines L -     -     D Jamaica
11. Jamaica D -     -     L Phillippines

  Kumanomusuko                 Polimasa

Nothing new here except that Bunbukuchagama evens things in line 3 and is no more in danger there. As I said already, we'll have to wait tilll the 25th to see where this will go.

The fourth day is already over.

The results were:

Spoiler

Sweden 2 South Africa 1
Netherlands 1 Portugal 0
France 0 Jamaica 0

Group A – Refioji Nekonishiki - Round 1 – Day 4

Not much luck for Krisachiyama, two of his teams played a draw, against two wins of Rhinoshima in the same slots. That means Rhinoshima has already four possible goals. If Germany wins tomorrow. Or at least draws. Krisachiyama will be the loudest fan of Morocco.

This round is already over for Jakusotsu, his chain is broken in #4. The only question is how many more goals scores Kaba. One or even two?

Group F – Refioji Nekonishiki - Round 1 – Day 4

Sad Sunday for Lordshamrockyama. His R team played a draw and it caused a chain break against the winning England of Fujiko in Slot #1. Maybe tomorrow Fujiko can score more goals to her winning one.

And the fourth match is absolutely undecided yet. Jejima needs Germany, South Korea AND Panama to win. Spytoneryu will already be happy with win of Brazil, it’s a 2-0 for him if Germany loses.

OK, do yourself the rest of the combinations, I’m already lazy for that. :-)
