- The dutch player was too far from the ball anyway and couldn't get it with or without the "push".

Does it mean that a defender can (for example) punch an attacker in the face as long as we decide that the latter could not get to the ball in time? It's not how the rules work, I believe.

Combine what I wrote with what Jejima wrote about the legal charge.

And the most important is the interpretation of the referee. Crucial in football (and not 100% correct, far from it). Don't blame me !

As far as I am aware, shoulder barges are pretty much a part of football. Certainly here in the UK during my formative days. Commentators used to rue the number of free kicks given against English (and the occasional Scottish) clubs last century in European matches, for things (like hefty shoulder barges) that would have been perfectly fine in the UK.

This is taken directly from Jejima's quote:

It is not seen very often now, as referees will often award a direct free kick if there is physical contact off the ball.

I played enough football in my younger years to realize that pushing an attacking player in the back is likely to get you into trouble.

I think (Scratchingchin...)

France win - England lose : Polimasa wins 2-0 !?

France lose - in every case 0-0 and Penalties !?

So at best I can reach the Penalties !?

But I am good there !? ;-)

Don't forget you have Australia (R). If France lose you'l score 2 goals with Australia either in regular or extra time. Unless I'm wrong ? @Pitinosato

France W - England L :  Polimasa scores in line 1 and 2 and your chain is broken in line 2 so 2-0.

Quarterfinals  (Refioji: Achiyama)

                                         BWC8   Match 10

               AMINOUMI                 KOORIFUJI
Squad Goals   Squad Goals
 1. Japan (R) L     0   X    1. England
 2. England      2. France
 3. Australia      3. Sweden (S2) W
 4. Spain  D     0    4. Netherlands D
 5. Colombia       L
 WINNER/LOSER     WINNER/LOSER

Aminoumi's Comments: Nippon girls are unstoppable, speedy & smart.

Nadeshiko power for the cup! Yoroshiku from Tokyo

Koorifuji's Comments: Let's go Europe, I guess?

Refioji's Comments: Overconfident Aminoumi placed her (R) team Japan at spot #1, but Nippon girls didn't deliver. No matter what England Does, Aminoumi's chain is broken at spot #1. This probably will cost her the match. The only thing she might be able to pull is a penalty decision.

Fujiko's Comments: Goal!

Refioji's Comments: Nothing to report yet.

 3. Colombia (C)      3. Australia (S2)
 4. Australia      4. Sweden              W
WINNER/LOSER     WINNER/LOSER

Nekonishiki's Comments: Rijicho-sama, let's see who has  less unluck :)

Jejima's Comments: I've studied my aite's squad - and he must surely be putting Australia in 3rd slot? So, I will try to match that, and put it out of the equation. I think that this will be decided on whether I have called the result of the Sweden vs Japan match correctly. (Or, if England ends 90 minutes in a tie? No, come on Lionesses! No more stress watching you, please!)

Refioji's Comments: Unfortunately, the match Sweden vs. Japan was called wrongly by Jejima.

So no goals with Australia :'-(
