Everybody is still in this competition, but from next round onwards, we will be losing names. Rhinoshima is firmaly rooted to the bottom, with a very leaky goal. Meanwhile, my youngest son, Kaba, is also topping this table, and is the only player yet to see the ball cross their goal line!

she is sooo mean.

Refioji: Spain is out

1. England (S1)      2. Australia   3. USA         4. Morocco   5. Nigeria

Andonishiki

England (S1), Japan, USA, Australia (C), Norway, Nigeria

comment: now Jamaica must WIN this tourney,

or Japan will - it's a JaJa affair !

a little RANT:

WHY ON EARTH a team manager who failed horribly - not even qualifying for the second round in an 'easy' group with three opponents who dont even have 1/10th of the budget (incl sponsoring), much worse training conditions, media attention and fan support - cannot stand up a day after failure and publicly admits his/her responsibility and leaves quietly.... THIS DID happen already twice in GER.

now Martina Voss ( IHATE doublenames), earlier Jogi L and 2022 Hans Flick.

JUST QUIT, you LAME LOSERS. "Verschwinde, Du Opfer!"  the whole nation had high hopes in your team, but you let us down terribly !

but the public, the media, the DfB is too weak, too 'correct'... incapable of just commanding You're FIRED, cause you didnt reach the goal, you FAILED the whole nation miserably.

now women football will fall back into meaninglessness, the only thing male fans wanna see now is Jule Brand in a magazine centerfold.

well... nothing to see or read her, pls move on - enjoy some sushi, if avail ;)

Refioji: England and USA are out

BWS16  Match 10:
Kimyama (USA) vs  Bumbiachiyama (South Africa)

Ganzohnesushi : 1. Netherlands, 2. France, 3. England (S1), 4. USA, 5. Denmark, 6. Switzerland, 7. Nigeria

Comment :  First I was tempted to send an UDH lineup, but then I saw that Andonishiki wants to meet me again in the  'Bench World Saucer' final. Thus I changed my tentative draft. Now I'm waiting for wins by Nigeria and Switzerland while Netherlands and France lose. (Laughing...)

BWS16  Match 12:
G3 ChatGPT (Italy) vs E4 Baku (Vietnam)

ChatGPT : 1. France, 2. Netherlands (S1), 3. USA, 4. Nigeria.

Comment:
Prediction:
France 3-0 Morocco
Prediction: Netherlands 3-0 South Africa
Prediction: Sweden 1-2 USA
Prediction: England 2-1 Nigeria

Jejima says... to decide the order of the first two teams, I asked ChatGPT which team was most likely to win their respective matches...
Additional Comment

As a sports pundit, it is likely that the general consensus would be that France is more likely to beat Morocco than the Netherlands defeating South Africa. This prediction is based on the relative strength and past performances of the teams involved.

France is a historically strong footballing nation and has a strong women's team with several talented players. They have shown good form in the group stage, and the pundit might expect them to continue their strong performances against Morocco.

On the other hand, while the Netherlands is also a strong team and the reigning European champions, South Africa is considered a more competitive opponent compared to Morocco. South Africa has the potential to cause upsets and may put up a tough fight against the Netherlands.

However, it's essential to remember that football is full of surprises, and any team can perform exceptionally on a given day. In knockout stages, where the stakes are higher, anything can happen, making the matches exciting to watch and difficult to predict with certainty.

Baku : 1. USA, 2. Japan, 3. Spain ©, 4. France, 5. Norway, 6. Morocco.
Comment: Minecraft.

Bunbukuchagama's Comments:

Jejima's Comments: I am trying to be a good manager, and look at my opposition's squad, before making my selection, and then picking my line-up accordingly. I actually think that Sweden will probably defeat USA, and that Japan has a better chance (so really should be in slot 2) of being nailed down for a win.... But, I *think* that my aite will likely put England and the USA in his first two slots, so I want to neutralise that, before making an impact with Japan....  Have I overthought this? Will Bunbuckuchagama favour Sweden (as I secretly do?), which will mess up with my plans? Am I being over defensive - and should be more offensive?  Time will tell!

Hehe, thats what you get when you order an extra sausage for the USA. How much did the TV stations in USA pay to the corrupt FIFA to have the winner of their group playing so early? And now? Nix prime-time it is for finishing 2nd in their group, match is in the middle of the night now.   (Neener,neener...)

Fans in Netherlands and South Africa will be pissed.

Ganzohnesushi

I've just looked it up....

So, 4am kick-off for both Netherlands AND South Africa. That *has* to be the worst time possible. If earlier, you can just about justify staying up all night....  But it is too early to start an early day. (Perhaps 3am is worse? Discuss).

Meanwhile, USA's match is 1am kick-off in Alaska, going across to 5am in New York. Best place to watch would be Hawai'i at 11pm!  I guess Sweden will be pleased, as it is a nice late morning/early lunchtime match on a Saturday. Get the beers in! :-)

Andonishiki secures an important win in #2 (which is actually the first slot)

Round of 16 - Day 1:

BWC16  Match 4:
G1 Finngall (Sweden) vs E2 Koorifuu (Portugal)

A good start for Finngall with a win in line 4. A loss for Koorifuu in line 6. We'll already know much more tomorrow after the games Sweden vs USA and Netherlands vs South Africa.

Finngall     Goal H Chain H   Goal A Chain A   Koorifuu

BWC16  Match 8:
H1 Polimasa (Morocco) vs F2 Fujiko (Jamaica)

Polimasa starts with a win. Too early to call anything here. USA tomorrow for Polimasa. Fujiko will throw her cards on the table in the last  2 days of round 16.

Round of 16 - Day 1:

BWS16  Match 11:
C3 Ganzohnesushi (Costa Rica) vs A4 Krisachiyama (Norway)

One loser on each side but maybe too low to decide anything. More to come tomorrow.

BWS16  Match 12:
G3 ChatGPT (Italy) vs E4 Baku (Vietnam)

Baku has already gathered 2 wins and one loss. The loss is low enough not to be decisive. ChatGPT needs already a win of France and a loss of the USA otherwise it's game over.

France win AND USA lose = ChatGPT wins 1-0. Any other combination of results than this and Baku wins, score to be seen.
