Still one and a half matches to go, but round 1 is already settled for both of my groups, so here we go:

Group C - Game 1

Meletyoshi 2:4 Ganzohnesushi
(Spain) (Costa Rica)

Spain ® W 1:0 W USA
USA W 1:0 D France
France D 0:1 W Switzerland
Canada D 0:1 W Germany ©
Switzerland W 0:0 W Netherlands
Norway L x:1 W Denmark
Portugal L ≡:≡ L Portugal
South Korea x:0 D Nigeria

Vietnam © L x: Panama
Jamaica D x:x L Costa Rica ®

Ganzohnesushi manages to come from behind and might even score another goal with Panama. (quite unlikely, though, with Brazil leading 2:0 at halftime...)

Group C - Game 2

Andonishiki 0:2 aminoumi
(Zambia) (Japan)

Germany W 0:1 W Japan ®
USA W ≡:≡ W USA
Australia © W 0:0 W Spain
Norway L x:1 W Australia
Japan W x:0 W Denmark
China L x: Colombia
Ireland L x:0 L China

Vietnam L x:x L Portugal

aminoumi already had it in the bag at halftime but didn't score any more goals - yet.

Group D - Game 1

Kuma Koma 2:0 Tanetakahiro
(England) (Haiti)

England ® W 1:0 W Germany
Germany W 1:x L Norway
Canada D 0:x W Australia
Sweden W 0:x W England
Italy W 0:x W Netherlands ©
Portugal L x:x W New Zealand
Argentina L ≡:≡ L Argentina

Nigeria D x:x Panama
Panama © x:x L Haiti ®

2:0 is the final score here.

Group D - Game 2

Djodjoyoshi 3:0 Achiyama
(Denmark) (China)

USA W : Brazil
France D 0: W USA
Denmark ® W 1: W Germany
Germany W 0: W Sweden
Netherlands W 1:x L Norway ©
Switzerland © W 1:x L China ®
Portugal L ≡:≡ L Portugal
New Zealand W ≡:≡ W New Zealand
Nigeria D 0:x D Nigeria
South Africa L 0:x L South Africa
Philippines L :x Panama

Achiyama may only score one goal in slot 2, wich ain't enough against Djodjoyoshi who might even go 4:0, but again, with Brazil leading 2:0 at halftime, quite unlikely.

Please don't forget to send your next picks soon! I only got Ganzohnesushi's and Djodjoyoshi's so far.

OK, we're only half time but as I really don't see things turn around for Brazil I take my chances and announce the final scores. Kill me if Panama wins !

Group G - Refioji Athenayama - Deadline for Round 2

Bumbachiyama  @Achiyama , CHATGPT @Jejima , Chiyonosora  @Andonishiki , @Finngall

This world cup has really a weird schedule as the last game of round 1 is on the same day as the start of round 2. First game of round 2 starts just a little more than one hour after the last game of round 1 has ended.

So, unfortunately, I'll have to ask you to send me your line ups before the game Colombia - South Korea (Round 1) has been played.

Please send me your line ups in PM here on the forum. Deadline will be on July 24th at 08:00 PM UTC (Universal time). This will allow me to post them on the forum before I go to sleep.

Thanks and good luck!

Still waiting for line ups of Bumbiachiyama @Achiyama and Chiyonosora @Andonishiki .

Only few hours left !

And the fifth day has ended. We’ll have Day 6 and Day 1 tomorrow. :)

Please don’t forget your line-ups, I’m waiting for them still for 3 hours.
I already have from Fujiko, Jejima, Kaba, Jakusotsu, Spytoneryu, Lordshamrockyama and Rhinoshima.

Eh well, it would be simpler to write that I’m still waiting for entry of Krisachiyama.

 The results were:

Spoiler

Italy 1 Argentina 0
Germany 6 Morocco 0
Brazil 4 Panama 0

Group A – Refioji Nekonishiki - Round 1 – Day 5

Oh my. Rhinoshima won the match with 5 goals. Krisachiyama’s chain has broken in Slot #5, so it already doesn’t matter what will Colombia do tomorrow. The match hasn’t been called off yet, but some minutes and it’s over.

Well, in the second match it’s not indifferent at all how Colombia does tomorrow. Kaba is with two goals and is still waiting for a possible third one.

Group_A_Round_1_5.jpg

Group F – Refioji Nekonishiki - Round 1 – Day 5

Well, technically there are some kicks here and there at the end of the match, so officially it hasn’t ended yet, but still, we have the end result, if South Korea wins tomorrow, Fujiko’s chain will break earlier, and then what? Fujiko still wins the match with 1 against Lordshamrockyama 0.

Well, Panama didn’t win so no good news for Rijicho, Spytoneryu got the match. With one goal so far, if Colombia wins tomorrow, then even with 3.

 Group_F_Round_1_5.jpg

And now I’m rushing to send my own entries.

Comment: The so far three BEST teams of the tournaments in spots one to three.... but hinten kackt die Ente..
('behind farts the ant'). Losing against my daughter is a terrible embarrassement, but still there are
two rounds open to score....This would be the first benchfootie tournament, where andonishiki would not survive
the group stages....  as achiyama would say: 'Let's keep the tradition alive'.
