Probably learnt it just for this event. He cannot participate in bouts, doesn’t have any high school connection to do the bouts or singing?
Akinomaki 40,030 Posted June 6 (edited) 23 hours ago, Akinomaki said: 5h coverage of the whole intai-zumo event https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjU0Aa9HLHM Interesting titbits: Sponsors for shokkiri and jinku - both with Miyagino first timers, Hakuoho added a bit jinku at the end, after the usual troop had done it - he had a bout before: a juryo bout with kensho! Extra for him of course, more than on any makuuchi bout with kensho, 2 rounds - Hakuyozan didn't dare to win. Really many female cutters - the whole family did it from the extra stage added to the dohyo, also the older son, who didn't need help from his grandma like his younger brother - and 2 male Ishiura - apparently uncle and cousin - after mother Ishiura. After and not as usual before these 2, the chair was moved back to the middle of the dohyo for the NSK cutters, first the oyakata group, those from Nichidai in the end, except riji Sakaigawa as first, then ichimon riji Asakayama, Oshima, Isegahama's Tateyama, Kiriyama (Asahisho), Chiganoura to start the Nichidai group, Kitajin and next day Akiseyama as last. Nichidai sekitori next, first Hidenoumi and Endo, last there like Ishiura from both Tottori Johoku and Nichidai, Churanoumi and Mitoryu. Then the Isegahama-beya sekitori in reverse banzuke order starting with Hakuoho, then father Ishiura, Chikubayama, Miyagino and Isegahama. Daikiho was in the general part. After that for the makuuchi torikumi, all Isegahama-beya members and Tottori Johoku graduates had kensho on their bouts (and won them), else only the 4 sanyaku bouts. Mitoryu as Tottori Johoku guy won against Nishikifuji, only 3 kensho though, while Churanoumi had 8 in the bout before. The others from Isegahama won, mostly with a smile - Takerufuji really had a big bunch. Tottori Johoku Roga had many kensho against Tomokaze, announced for the first time as from the new Nakamura-beya. Onosato-Asanoyama and the first 2 of the 3 final bouts had not many kensho, Terunofuji had to have the most, but not much more than some of his heya-mates - and all in one round. Enho had no bow available and only trained one day before the danpatsushiki, learning the yumitori in a crash course from a former rikishi who had done it (Hokaho maybe, at Hakuho's danpatsushiki). After a year with oicho again for that occasion. No mention anywhere of a plan to continue - it was just for the show. o

Akinomaki 40,030 Posted July 4 (edited) The tabloid Friday reports that due to the Hokuseiho scandal, 2000 pre-ordered tickets for the intai-zumo had been cancelled and put into the general sales - which visibly didn't have a sell-out, so it's real loss for Ishiura: this event was to provide him with funds for future plans. The article tells though that also the 2nd floor was packed with fans, so it wasn't a big loss for Magaki http://friday.kodansha.co.jp/article/379503 The article also mentions that Hokaho had his danpatsushiki on the 15th in a hotel in Tokyo, with about 130 cutters - and the real shisho Miyagino had the final cut! pics, but not with Miyagino https://www.instagram.com/p/C8Q3r2Nviyh/ Edited July 4 by Akinomaki
