Interesting question. Even if Onosato can shoot up the rankings like Ochiai is, the 2 basho difference may keep the latter ahead. On the other hand, Ochiai has already been getting busted up: taped shoulder all basho and was holding it in pain after beating Kitanowaka, was holding his elbow after beating Shimazuumi, bleeding vs Daiamami, dazed after being slapped by Chiyonokuni. He's also very cautious about his health based on some of his withdrawals as an amateur and the year off he took to prepare his body for ozumo - perhaps could be susceptible to kyujo. Hard to say at this stage.
