Without the controversial decision in the Asanoyama bout Natsu 2019, it may have turned out to be his 2nd yusho basho and he that one to get the Trump cup.

He's not absent. He's not part of it anymore. Same reason why his basho score will be stuck at 0-6, no absences registered.

Edit: a more mundane comparison; if you are gone from a job you quit, your employer won't mark you as AWOL from there onwards.

Tochinoshin did much better than Kokkai though. I wonder what Kokkai, Baruto or Aran upto these days? Remembering Baruto, he was the best. Humble giant.
