Any idea why Maegashira game cannot be played since a long time?

It looks like that there is a minor defect in the programming, however, nobody cares. Why?

As you probably know, I didn't  manage the from his start, but then for a long time in the German forum on an email basis with manual entry of the daily picks and the daily bout results (partly with my Excel evaluation, partly with software from Kana-san (Ganyu ) )

With the relatively small number of participants in the German Forum, this was associated with considerable effort and many sources of error.

Therefore, Jakusotsu used a contact with Kofuji, who lived in the United Emirates, and won him to automate the game. This software came into being very quickly, was activated and put online by Kofuji and was already running, albeit with a number of small bugs that the master still wanted to fix. These errors kept occurring when applying the daily torikumi and generating the daily battle list, which was the prerequisite for the tips of the players.

Unfortunately, in the midst of trying to fix these bugs, Kofuji wrote me that he had cancer - and then he fast had lost the battle against the disease.

Once again Jakusotsu mediated a helper who wanted to deal with the pitfalls of the daily fight list. It was Doitsuyama them the sumo community owes many many things.

Doitsuyama also seemed to have settled in quite well, but over time these mistakes returned. Unfortunately, at some point he stopped this work and no longer responded to my inquiries.

I have no other access to the game as the players who again and again try until today and have therefore also stopped all comments about the game. It’s now bobbing quietly in the forum, even creating a new pointless player banzuke for every basho.

Doitsuyama may forgive me for bringing his name into play again. I know what he does for the community of players and I can understand that he no longer wants to go through the trouble of troubleshooting and the manual interventions that are repeatedly required.

I have considered several times whether I should bring out my old Excel sprheets again, but then I think of my age and content myself with taking care of Capture the Sagari in the German Forum and Game 21 here for the time being, as long as my health allows it.
