J2E #1HENKAFAN gets J6W Shimazuumi

That's another rikishi at his highest career rank.

All Sekitori rikishi are in the draw - it is just a coincidence that the two Juryo players have both drawn Juryo players so far....

J1W WAKATAKE receives M5W Kotoshoho

Kotoshoho went 6-9 at M5E last basho. Will this slight demotion help him this basho?

J1E Chiyotasuke will have J7W Churanoumi

It's been 5 years since his Juryo debut - will he ever reach Makunouchi?

J2W Oshirokita gets YOE Terunofuji!!!!

Maybe Oshirokita gets the best pick in Juryo? Or will Terunofuji get injured, and pull out early? It could go either way....  Maybe a great score - or a terrible one.

If Terunofuji is not on the day 1 torikumi, Oshirokita will be given a different rikishi.

M15W Gaijingai will have.... S2W Wakamotoharu

The Sekiwake has had only one MK in the previous ten bashos....

M14W Wamahada will be represented by M11E Hokuseiho.

The Hokkaido giant will be at his career highest rank - but I think a likely KK from him, so maybe a good draw?

M11E Ryoshishikunin gets M14E Asanoyama!

Perhaps one of the rikishi we all wanted? The former Ozeki is storming back up the banzuke since his fall from grace and forced absence from Ozumo.

M9E Suwihuto will have M7E Hokutofuji

Hokutofuji is on a 3 basho 7-8 streak...  But surely he has enough at this rank?

M14E Bunbukuchagama will have M7W Tamawashi

This veteran won the yusho less than a year ago.... but best not to recall his form in March.

K1W Kaito will have.... K2E Shodai

We will be promoting (at least, but more likely, exactly) two players to Ozeki after this tournament. Kaito is one of the players in the running. But which Shodai will turn up this basho?

M13W sahaven111 will be represented by M2W Endo

It's been 2 years since Endo was ranked so high.

M1W Takanorappa will have.... M16W Oho

Takanorappa is a dark horse for Ozeki promotion. I personally think that Oho should do well at this level - but he didn't last basho....

M19W Seiyashi receives J6E Hakuyozan

Hakuyozan got 9-6 in the last two bashos. I think Seiyashi would be happy if it becomes a three-peat.

S1W chishafuwaku will have M17E Kagayaki

Yikes! Will Kagayaki have enough to get chishafuwaku to the rank of Ozeki?

M3E Holleshoryu gets J1W Shonannoumi

He's yet to have a losing record in Juryo. Does a place in the sanyaku await Holleshoryu?

M15E Hoshotakamoto has drawn O1W Takakeisho

What is the latest on the Ozeki? Will he back on the dohyo this basho? This is one of those picks (similar to Terunofuji) that has the potential of being a great pick, a terrible pick - or possibly a redraw once the shonichi torikumi is known.

M19E Hakuhonofan will take M13W Ichinojo!!!

Will this popular pick skyrocket Hakuhonofan up the banzuke?

M10W Meletyoshi has been given M16E Mitoryu

It will be Mitoryu's third successive basho in Makunouchi. I'm expecting mediocrity.

M7E Flohryu has S1E Kiribayama!!!!!

A great pick, perhaps? (Peter - AKA Baku - is not so sure. After winning a tournament, the rikishi usually perform badly, he muses...)

M4E lilfox has drawn J8E Atamifuji

Atamifuji is one of the youngest sekitori - but has yet to make much of an impression in the paid ranks... But might be a possible ride for lilfox into the expanding sanyaku?

M7W Ganzohnesushi will have M6E Meisei
