I envy your luck; you'll get to go down with the most glorious battleship.

Only I could miss the deadline for a game you don't have to do anything to play.

I already used all my luck to come first place in the draw... and scored Takarafuji.(Sigh...)

At least this gives me a reason to root for the old boy one last time - although not a big enough one to take him out of my UDH squad.

With this number of players in the inaugural basho, there are likely to be several players tied on the 'middley' records, such as 6-9, 7-8, 8-7 and 9-6, at the end of the tournament, so I will say now how I intend to rank tied players.

I'll count the number of losses among the group of tied players between themselves. The ones with the most losses are separated, and compared again in the smaller group, and so on, until the lowest has been determined, and is ranked the lowest. That player's 'wins' are then removed from the other players in that group, and the process is repeated. If at any stage two players cannot be separated, then the player with the lower ranked rikishi in the sweepstake will be ranked higher.

Apart from deciding yushos, this system will only be required to rank 'mae-zumo' players joining at the bottom of the banzuke for future tournaments.

The first banzuke (March 2023) will be ranked from M1E downwards.

The second banzuke (May 2023) will be ranked from S1E downwards.

The third banzuke (July 2023) will be ranked from O1E downwards - from this point onwards, there must always be a minimum of two Ozeki/Yokozunas on the banzuke at all times.

Special Prizes:  Only players ending up with a KK are eligible for the following.

Outstanding Performance: Rikishi defeating another rikishi the furthest apart in 'ranking' (Y1E = 1..... J14W = 70) Either the higher OR the lower ranked player can win it.

Fighting Spirit: Rikishi that still manages a KK, but having achieved his 7th loss the earliest

Technique Prize: The player that manages to keep a nuke-nuke record (W-L-W-L etc, or L-W-L-W) for the longest run, starting from ANY TIME during the basho. (I.e it could be five days from day 1, or it could be the last seven days of the basho. Up to you. ;-) )

Funboshi (think kinboshi - but more fun, allegedly...): awarded for every win by 'fusen' (default win).

I was trying to think of ways to identify monoii from anything other than watching the bouts but I can't find where that might be recorded; that would make a fun "random" special prize criteria, though.

To be honest I'm not expecting any Ozeki promotion before very long at this game. And a Yokozuna? He/she should play the Lottery right away! ;-)

Unless the criteria for promotion are less strict than in the other games which would be understable and acceptable to me at least.
