...and another news from Group F:

Spytoneryu's chain is bound to break at slot 2 at the latest and there will be no goals for him, so the match will be either a 0:0 draw or a win for Oshirokita, all depending on Brazil tomorrow.

Edit: Actually Oshirokita won already with at least 2:0 because his chain can't be broken in slot 1.

(many thanks to @Athenayama for pointing it out - time to retire my gunbai whistle)

Spytoneryu 0:2 Oshirokita

In the first game of Group G, Achiyama had the chance to score a goal if his counterbalance team drew (such is the quirkiness of this game), but since they won he won't score any before his chain is broken in slot 3. andonishiki has a good chance to take the match tomorrow.

andonishiki 0:0 Achiyama

Group C Round 1 - Day 4 :

As we said Krisachiyama already won this. For the moment the score is 0:1 waiting for the last day games. If either Portugal or Brazil lose Kotononami could get away with only one goal against him. Otherwise we will see depending of the results.
Chain of Krisachiyama is brolen at line 9 so the 2 goals courtesy of Saudi Arabia wont count.

  Kotononami H     Krisachiyama A     Goal H Kotononami Chain H   Goal A Krisachiyama Chain A
1. Argentina R L - England N W     0 x - 1 1

11. Iran C L   Saudi Arabia R W         - 2 3

Thanks to Belgium Nekonishiki scores one goal at line 1. However Germany's result at line 2 could be devastating.
Here are the possibilities. Brazil win tomorrow, Andrasoyama wins 2-1.
Brazil draw,  final score 1-1 here.
Brazil lose, Nekonishiki wins at least 2-1.
Nice, huh?

And here is the end of the first round. I didn’t have enough time for watching matches, but still could catch some of them, because the advantage of home office is that TV can be set on.

Technical things, the goal scoring is already OK in the lower tables, too. And from tomorrow, the teams playing the other day will be showed in bold.

Let’s see the results. The unexpected surprise matches resulted sometimes many goals for the winners.

Group A - Round 1 results

Group_A_Round_Table.jpg

Athenayama 0 vs Kimyama 5

Athenayama’s chain has already be broken in Slot #1, Kimyama just sat back in the armchair, sipping his coffee and picking the goals. Even his chain hasn’t broken.

Pitinosato 0 vs Chijanofuji 5

Chijanofuji positioned the winners very well and Pitinosato couldn’t do too much. His chain has been broken in #3, and Chijanofuji comfortably scored five goals. The only losing team in his line-up is of course in Slot #11.

Group_A_Round_1_4.jpg

Group D - Round 1 results

Group_D_Round_Table.jpg

Asapedroryu 0 vs Nantonoyama 4

The very surprising loss of Argentina has broken Asapedroryu’s chain already in Slot #1, while Nantonoyama only had to collect the goals. His chain hasn’t broken.

Lordshamrockyama 1 vs Kurosaki 0

The only match with a Higashi winner. I think this was a typical bout of luck and unluck. Kurosaki’s chain lasted until #10 and yet he couldn’t take the advantage and could not score any goal. While Lordshamrockyama’s winning R team brought him the single goal of this match.

Group_D_Round_1_4.jpg

Still waiting for line-ups from @Asapedroryu@Athenayama and  @Chijanofuji . I will be able to check and validate them still in time and I will give a feedback!

Completed and corrected. Am I so lame with this forum? Nothing works for me as it should.

Comment:
what a glorious start !
very sorry for my poor opponent, who trusted ridiculous germany, which was more worried about OneLove signs than defending. and what a pooor goalie.... was injured most od Sep/Oct.
basically fcbauern players and their muppet coach lost it vs a super efficient Nippon. WELL DONE.
next Nippon beats the 'Pura Vida' and D is out.
#hansiraus #ahllesheichssanschwuuhl #koanneuer
Most convincing on day 1:
France, England, Spain, Brazil
disappointing:
Argentina, Germany, Netherlands, Italia

sad that none of the famous African 5 could win, but
Senegal & Ghana played well, there's hope !

Here in Suisse, we got lucky, but Serbia will be tough. As skiing & hockey season has started, most Swizzies are not that excited anyway - public viewing venues are almost empty...

once again, i am blessed, that God gave me the opportunity to work on a large training floor... on every end there's a big screen and these days, Football replaced CNBC ;)

And Round 2 begins today. Here are the line-ups, also in table format, today’s matches are marked with bold (I truly hope it works correctly).

Group A - Round 2

Athenayama vs Pitinosato

Athenayama

1. Brazil 2. Belgium 3. Croatia 4. Tunisia 5. Wales 6. Ghana 7. Germany (C) 8. Mexico 9. Switzerland 10. Iran 11. Qatar (R)

Comment: I still feel dizzy after the 0-5 of the first round. This one doesn't look much better and I really hope that Pitinosato won't play with the momentum he currently has in Bench Sumo. For the time being we are in the exact same situation. A loss and an extremely bad goal difference. The loser of this H2H can already say goodbye to the qualification. Let's pray!

Pitinosato

1. Senegal (R) 2. Japan 3. Wales (C) 4. Netherlands 5. Brazil 6. Tunisia 7. Saudi Arabia 8. Morocco 9. Denmark 10. Germany 11. Mexico

Chijanofuji vs Kimyama

Chijanofuji

1. France 2. Spain 3. Netherlands (R) 4. Wales 5. South Korea (C) 6. Uruguay 7. Tunisia 8. Switzerland 9. Mexico 10. Morocco 11. Iran

Comment: Having now seen the teams in action once, I can at least say I'm pretty sure of at least 24 countries that definitely won't be world champions this time around, and 8 of those are in my current squad (yes, that includes the Netherlands as well). Not that that will help much in predicting the outcome of the matches in this round, though.

Ganbarimasu!

Kimyama

1. Spain 2. Brazil 3. Portugal 4. Switzerland (C) 5. Tunisia 6. Ghana 7. Uruguay 8. Poland 9. Cameroon 10. Costa Rica 11. Ecuador (R)

Comment: :((

Just to explain, in the tables I send, you can only see the potential scored goals near your names (where the slot has already been decided), the real current goal standing is in the last row. False info, sorry

Group A - Round 2 standings

Athenayama vs Pitinosato

With the very good positioning of his winning ® team Pitinosato scores at least one real goal in #1. The exact number will be known on Monday.

Chijanofuji vs Kimyama

A future goal for Chijanofuji in Slot #11

Group_A_Round_2_1.jpg

 Group D - Round 2 standings

Nantonoyama vs Kurosaki

Nantonoyama scores a real goal with his (C) team in the first slot.

Lordshamrockyama vs Asapedroryu

Lordshamrockyama gets the first real goal in #1, too and nobody can take it away

Group C Round 2 - Day 1 :

Of course, it's still very early but Andrasoyama has a potential goal at line 9 and chain broken for Krisachiyama. Many things could happen before we reach that line.  First example is the loss of Wales at line 4 which could be fatal if Croatia wins.

  Andrasoyama H     Krisachiyama A     Goal H Andrasoyama Chain H   Goal A Krisachiyama Chain A
1. Belgium N   - Portugal N       0   -   0
2. Brazil N   - Brazil © C       0   -   0
3. Poland ® R   - England N D     0   -   0
4. Wales N L - Croatia N       0   -   0
5. Spain N   - Saudi Arabia ® R       0   -   0
6. Australia N   - South Korea N       0   -   0
7. Ghana N   - USA N D     0   -   0
8. Denmark N   - Poland N       0   -   0

10. Cameroon N   - Morocco N       1   -   0 x
11. Costa Rica N   - Australia N       1   -   0

Kotononami has a tendency to win in the last lines, potential goal at line 10 thanks to Iran. Unfortunately the decision could be made before we reach there. England's draw at line 1 isn't the best of things. Still early though.
