BWB8  Match 6

It will take a win by England to avoid going to extra-time here.

Spytoneryu 0:0 Kuma Koma
(Belgium) (South Korea)

Netherlands (S2) D 0: England (S2)
Brazil (S1) D Ø:Ø D Brazil (S1)
Argentina D 0: D Netherlands ©
Croatia D 0: France

Correction: a draw by England will hand the match to Kuma Koma in regular time due to his C-team's special rules!

(...I love Jezz for creating this adorable game with its fiendish rules that nobody knows by heart  (Signofapproval...))

If both remaining matches will draw as well, everybody who still has a C-team in their squad can wear a big smile. :-D

Jugding by all penalty shootout performances so far, Argentina will take the Cup.

After two 1/4 Final matches (Regular 90 minutes):

BWS8  Match 4

Jakusotsu:  1. Brazil (S1), D 2. Argentina (S2), D 3. France (C), 4. Netherlands D
Comment: Is it foolish to ignore Van-Gaal's claim for the Cup?

Chishafuwaku:  1.Portugal (R), 2. Brazil, D 3. France (S1), 4. Croatia D

BWB8  Match 5

Akishiki (drone again):  1. Brazil, D  2. Croatia D

Lordshamrockyama:  1. France (R), 2. Portugal, 3. Brazil (S1), D 4. Argentina (S2), D 5. Morocco

BWC8  Match 9

Kimyama:  1. Brazil, D 2. Portugal, 3. Argentina (S1) D
Comment: Saint-Cloud beret basque!

Kotononami:  1. Argentina (R), D 2. Brazil (S2), D 3. France (S1), 4. England                                                                                                                     Comment: I support my (R) team all the way!

Achiyama' s comment: Unfortunately, the Draw of the (R) team of Kotononami at line 1 break's his chain at spot #1 without scoring a goal. Kimyama doesn't score either, but his chain remains unbroken.

I just realized the pinnacle of self-conceit to have Neymar shooting the final penalty . . . which never happened. :-|

I notice an error in the red part. It comes from Jejima's announcement of the 1/4 Final matches (I am not blaming him. He has done wonderful job for so many years keeping alive these interesting BWC and BEuro games. But he is human too!)

The red part should read: Winner progresses to the Cup Semifinals!

1.) Why should these be called Bench World Cup Quarterfinals, if the winners go to the BWS /1/2 Finals?

2.) There will be too many (8) Bench World Saucer semifinalists - 4 from BWS Quarterfinals and 4 from BWC Quarterfinals.

Regards,

Achiyama

All I can say is: what's a Cup without a Saucer?

Thanks for the catch. I'll correct it now.

Addition to correction: even a loss by England wins the match for me in extra time (Whistling...)

No African teams participated in any world cup until 1970.

And aptly that first African team to participate also happened to be...... Morocco!

A statistic seen on French TV. England has never won a world cup game when losing at half time. Will there be a first?
