Gurowake 3,098 Posted May 22 (edited) Ozeki Andoreasu continues his impressive streak of finishes with more than 13 wins to go with the more than 14 last time. With two such results in a row which would start a Yokozuna run, he needs only a Makuuchi yusho rather than an overall yusho, and can continue to extend the run by getting 10 wins each tournament. Ozeki Sakura and Konosato are kadoban after getting MKs. Chishafuwaku got an MK and was already kadoban from last tournament's MK and so is demoted to Sekiwake. He can return the easy way with 10 wins next tournament. No Sekiwake even managed a KK, so chishafuwaku is joined by top-performing Komusubi GONZABUROW. With more than 11 wins in each of the last two tournament, the latter will be promoted to Ozeki with the minimum 10 wins next tournament. Kobashi returns as Komusubi and is joined by the best of the maegashira, Torafuji and Kaito, along with the KK M1e Chankoyama. Kaito was a bit short on creating the extra slot by my usual guidelines, but it was close and the top of the maegashira pile is very tight as it is and would be even worse if I didn't promote him, so he got the nod. In fact, more than half of the maegashira are significantly underranked; it's not until you get to the double digits that things start swinging the other way, and from there through much of Juryo players tend to be overranked.
