Gah! I had Takakeisho for Tobizaru instead of Mitakeumi, which would have made much more sense IMO.

Rank has its privileges.

I don't quite follow. What's the privilege of meeting a lowly M5 instead of a Sekiwake (WTK) in the penultimate bout (as was my draft)?

11 Takayasu (although I think Daieisho would be a better choice....)

In this case, it resulted in the higher-ranked guy getting the easier (by rank) opponent, but really it's about the order of making the torikumi.

Why? He has a more suitable opponent by both rank and record, no?

In my looking around, I have to assume that is not the case. Daieisho has wrestled everyone in the top except for the M3's and M5's down.

I think I know why they did Hoshoryu-Takanosho on Day 11, but I'm not sure how that reasoning applies to the future.  I'm really torn between Daieisho and Endo, so I decided to do a full Makuuchi torikumi and found it was much easier to come up with something good if I went with...

12. Endo

12 - Daieisho looks good to me.

Hmm, many good options depending on when they group yusho contenders together and the cascading effects muck up my analysis. I think they may wait one more day before things go higgledy-piggledy.

I tried doing a torikumi as well, but I'm not close to an expert and I'm a lot less sure if this is right. But I'm also at:

12. Endo

But at this point I'm thinking somebody's gotta fight Terutsuyoshi because of how badly they're all doing, and if that's wrong my whole set of ideas can go in the trash.

It would be Daieisho if they stuck with the pattern, but it's day 12 so...
