Barutokai 32 Posted November 29, 2022 Kinbozan is amazing. I hope he can keep his streak until Makuuchi. It's his 7th KK though. First Basho in September 2021 was Bg.

Hokuseiho's single MK was kyujo-induced, too - very early into that basho. He's yet to hit the wall in tournaments he actually properly competes in.

Ack! 306 Posted January 20 (edited) Former Wall member Hitoshi at 4-3 has reeled off 5 straight KKs since being out for 3 consecutive bashos, and will improve from his current career high of Ms18e. Former Wall member Miyagi with 4-2 at Ms24e has 4 straight KKs since his marginal 3-4 MK. Edited January 20 by Ack!

Those two are from the same shindeshi crop that's also given us former and/or honorary wallees Kiryuko, Nobehara and Mukainakano. Natsu 2021. A very strong class, with all five guys already strong in makushita less than a year and a half from their banzuke debut. And who won that jonokushi basho? None of them.
