All depends on how they do the final intra-sanyaku bouts. Do they do Terunofuji-Mitakeumi on the proper day (14) or save it for 15.

I've started 13-0, which equals my best, which I did once before. but I ended up 13-2.

Anyway, I'm betting on the change in inta-sanyaku schedule

14 Kiribayama

I'm also betting they save Terunofuji-Mitakeumi for senshuraku. Since 14 is an even number,

14. Kiribayama

So, they'll not only skip Y-O but S-S as well? Nothing is sacred anymore...

In any case, Dai-Yokozuna Sakura wraps up the yusho and already sports the best record in this game since I took over doing the results in July 2012. Zensho tomorrow?

Sakura (Y1w) 14-0
Gurowake (Y1e) 12-2
Reonito (YOe) 12-2
Oshirokita (S1e) 12-2
Hakuhonofan (K1w) 10-3-1
Jakusotsu (K1e) 9-5
shimodahito (M2w) 9-5
Jejima (M1w) 8-6
Profomisakari (S1w) 7-6-1
WAKATAKE (M1e) 7-5-2
Seiyashi (M3w) 7-7
Andonishiki (bg) 7-4-3
Ryoshishokunin (M3e) 1-0-13
sahaven111 (M4e) 0-0-14
The Kyokai (M2e) 0-14
chishafuwaku (YOw) intai

Hokutofuji's aites: 1. Onosho, 2. Endo, 3. Hoshoryu, 4. Chiyoshoma, 5. Abi, 6. Takarafuji, 7. Ura, 8. Tamawashi, 9. Terunofuji, 10. Mitakeumi, 11. Meisei, 12. Shodai, 13. Daieisho, 14. Kiribayama

I don't really understand the logic of the Day 14 schedule, but I guess we could still get those bouts on Day 15, depending on how the next two days go.

As I see it, the logic is to give every Maegashira contender a Sanyaku opponent.

Best record of all time!  I'm rooting for a zensho yusho!

Takanosho is a real possibility if he suffers his eight loss tomorrow, and everyone else is in a huge lottery wheel, so...

Day 15 - Takanosho

(...and I'll go slapping myself if it's gonna be Chiyotairyu)

Now, whom will divine Sakura pick?

15 - Chiyonokuni (or Myogiryu), but I'll go with Chiyonokuni :-)

So, no pressure then. Give me a while to think about this.

And in the end, this was totally irrelevant to who Hokutofuji fought, because Mitakeumi vs. Takanosho didn't happen.  They could have had Mitakeumi vs. Kotonowaka and Takanosho vs. Hokutofuji with the rest rearranged.  Now you could argue that if they weren't doing Mitakeumi vs. Takanosho then they both would be sent down the banzuke, but I don't see any reason to believe that in particular.  It seems to me the reason Hokutofuji didn't face Takanosho is they wanted more sanyaku fighting maegashira still in contention at the time of the pairings, not because they postponed Mitakeumi-Terunofuji.  It obviously doesn't matter why you're right, but it obviously bugs me when people (including myself) end up being right for the wrong reasons.

Ok, I'm bad at day 15 since I'm bad at predicting results (see me daily games performance). However, I think Takanosho will win and not face Hokutofuji. Aside from the fact that Takanosho may lose, he could still win and be given Hokutofuji anyway.

Oh well, chips all in

15 Chiyotairyu.
