As Simon is still more or less inactive in this forum, we should not wait any longer for the kick-off of Metasumo 2022.

In this simple game, you choose the GAMERS you think will score the most in the Superbanzuke Masters series. Go to this link and choose ONE player from each of the categories below:

for a total of eight players. If you would like to choose one of the many recent promising new players WHO ARE NOT listed in the 2021 final standings, please place them in the 201+ category.

1-5  Joaoiyama (Of course at these heights you could pick any one. I feel that the Brazilian is motivated enough to repeat such a performance as in 2021).

6-10  Andoreasu (I could also pick another German here, Flohru, so I flipped a coin!).

11-20 Susanoo ("Face value"? They say that in English, don't they?).

21-40  Athenayama (There were many better choices here but I'm really motivated for 2022... also I might be in position to score points in more games than in the past).

41-80  Jejima  (Really many interesting picks here but as Sir Jejima released himself of many duties lately, I hope he'll be focused on making the best choices in   the sumo games in 2022 ).

81-120  Achiyama  (I believe the bulgarian flag will fly higher in 2022  ).

121-200  Gurowake  (I sensed a real motivation here, so ....).

201+ Gawasukotto (really tough choice here, I was very tempted by Lady Getayukata as I also wanted to have a "feminine touch" in my team and by several others that I won't name here not to give any ideas to my opponents  )

I have never done well in Metasumo (or pretty much Meta anything) but I'll give it another go:

1-5      Pandaazuma (Any of these guys could win it all, so I'll go with the one who has done it the most times.)

6-10   Flohru (Again an amazing group; however Flohru is quite a talent, and, from my limited interactions, a genuinely nice guy to boot.)

11-20 Norizo (This guy is so good he has a game named after him!)

21-40 ScreechingOwl (Simply trying to motivate myself after another underperforming year.)

41-80 Pitinosato (Way too talented not to place higher.)

81-120 Ruziklao (Seems to have a knack at a variety of games, which is the best way to advance.)

121-200 Gurowake (2022 hasn't even started and he already has more points than anyone in this group had in 2021. Ponder that!)

201+ Getayutaka (Well, at this point it's anybody's guess, but this seems like a good one.)

All Superbanzuke gino-sho rest on this principle. Some people might be good at pre-basho games only, some at daily games. The gino-sho means that someone has excelled in both realms.
