A big thank you to all the refiojis who made sure that this tournament was once again a big success.

Only a little more than a year until the Bench World Cup 2022.

A big thank to all of you (rijicho, refioji's and players) from me as well! As usual you have helped make this a very enjoyable experience during this Euro 2020/21 tournament! (Signofapproval...)(Applauding...)

Hope to see you again next year during the FIFA World Cup 2022!  I'm psyched up already!!! (Dribbling...)

Ouch, there's that maniacal looking emoji again! ;-)

I was quite liking Chiellini this tournament - even his gamesmanship was done with humour.

Then this happened....  Saka is almost exactly half his age....

Which is why Chiellini knows how to made a good defensive foul instead of a handball.

No need for a mono-ii. Pitinosato has explained it. :-)

Jezz,

I think you should write down this in the rules

(that the fantasy-ET only goes till the last slot, not until the chain breaks)

since Yesterday I understand why England always loses the penalties... (Eek...)

they substituted 2 players especially for the penalties - and these 2 missed

they gave the last (and often VERY important) shot to the youngest player on the pitch

OK, with the subsitutes, really unlucky

but how can you send a 19 year old "boy" to the deciding penalty ??????

It was really much fun (again) to play the Bench Euros ! (Jumpinginecstasy...)

I am curious to see when I will win a Cup, Plate, Saucer or other tableware :-D

But this time it was close - I finally want to eat soup again ! ;-)

I have tried to make the rules clearer.

@Jakusotsu - can you lock the rules thread again, please - until it is next needed :-)

Many thanks to Jejima for this great game. It was so entertaining, really can't wait for the next edition! Thanks also for your understanding for all the mistakes I made in refiojing, as a beginner I tried my best.

Congrats to all the winners ! First of all Godango who is our European Champion even if he lives on the other side of the world. I won't name again all the others, Jejima already listed them, you all deserve a big applause.
And a bigger applause to Fujiko who had one hand on the Cup till Godango stole it away form her. You did great !

Yes, it was a tactical foul - not nice, but Chiellini did it in a way his oppononent Saka would not be injured.

I found those two pathetic diving attempts from Raheem Sterling by far more disgusting.

Apparently it was his first penalty kick for his senior career... madness.

And before that crucial moment he looked like a flower that never blooms.

Final Golden Gloves Savings

1. (=) Godango 5 (+10)

It is easily the worst record to be awarded the Golden Gloves Award for either Bench World Cup or Euros. There has been only one instance of three goals let in - the rest being two or fewer. (Whistling...)

There were more own goals in this year's Euro than all others combined.
