Can I call a mono-ii on this? Or am I mistaken? If I understand the rules correctly Fantasy-overtime starts in the slot after the 2nd players chain broke, in our case Slot #8 And it only goes till the end, till slot #10, that's the end of the overtime (Not further with slot #1) So you win 2-1 after overtime Congratulations ! (if it would go on with slot #1 you would win 2-1, with goals in slot 1 (me), slot 2 (you) and

Commiserations to Fujiko, I was similarly uncertain about the result so she certainly put up a strong fight. This is on par with Steven Bradbury's win of Australia's first gold medal, but you'd better believe I'm clutching on this victory and will gloat about it for decades to come. Many thanks to Jejima for putting the tournament on, as well as all our rejioji's and players. I hoist the cup aloft in glory!

Pitinosato 73 Posted July 11, 2021 Plate finals, final Standings: Atenzan - Athenayama 2-1 No broken chains here, as the 2 players managed to eliminate the two lost timezones against each other !!! The draw of Atenzans C-Team made the decision, with England 1 he scored again, Athenayama goal with England 1 was not enough So Atenzan wins the Euro 2020 Plate !!! Congratulations !

Jejima 841 Posted July 12, 2021 Oops! (As I update the Bench Rules page with all winners.) Apologies to my wife. She wasn't the runner-up in the previous Bench Euros (2016), she was the runner-up in the previous World Cup (2018)! So, that's quite impressive form by her. As an extra bonus.... Who came closest to the time of the first goal in the finals with a guess of 5 minutes? Spoiler Fujiko..... (At the time, I asked her, "Are you sure? That's a bit early." She was sure.)
Jejima 841 Posted July 12, 2021 I have gone back through previous tournaments to search for the data on Golden Boot and Golden Gloves winners - which are now added to the 'rules page' here. I should have mentioned it at the start of the tournament that the Golden Boot and Golden Gloves awards are in memory of Fukurou, who looked after these for a few tournaments, before her passing away. A big thank you to all the refiojis who made sure that this tournament was once again a big success. Only a little more than a year until the Bench World Cup 2022.
