Ganzohnesushi 374 Posted July 7, 2021 Pathetic. How much did the FA pay to the VAR to keep that ridiculous penalty decision? Denmark was robbed. And so was I. Ganzohnesushi

"Yes", came the instant reply. "That's only because you're English", I said. "At least I've seen my national team win something before." Shounokuni hasn't replied yet. They checked if there was contact. There was, and so there's no way to overrule the referee's decision. Of course if would have been much wiser by the referee not to blow the whistle and let the VAR decide, but that's spilled milk.

Godango 589 Posted July 7, 2021 @Jejima and @Chijanofuji, yep, I didn't realise the halves were counted independently. Fortunately, it hasn't mattered at all this round given every half has been drawn! Which also means one of my little matrix-y flowcharts works out! Huzzah for happy accidents. Anyway... to the important stuff... Bench Euros 2020 Saucer Finals The first half ends in a draw -- that's slots 6 & 8 for Shounokuni and slot 7 for Chijanofuji... The second half ends in a draw - GOOOOAALLLLLLL in slot one for Chijanofuji!!! It all comes down to this. Shounokuni needs the (real) match to go to penalties in order to salvage a draw. A result in extra time means Chijanofuji takes the prize. Why am I building suspense? We all know how this ended. CHIJANOFUJI WINS 1-0!!!! Yes ladies and gentlemen, Shounokuni sees his chain break in slot 3 given Denmark's extra time loss. Chijanofuji stayed alive until slot 9, however Shounokuni's resolute defence didn't allow him to take advantage. Final Result Score Result Shounokuni (Ukraine) vs Chijanofuji (Slovakia) Result Score 0 D England (S1) 2nd Spain (C) 1st D 1 0 D Italy 1st Italy (S2) 1st D 0 0 L Denmark (C) ET Italy 2nd D 0 D Italy 2nd Spain 2nd D 0 W England ET Italy ET D 0 D England 1st Spain ET D 0 D Italy ET Denmark 1st D 0 D Denmark 1st Denmark 2nd D 0 D Denmark 2nd Denmark ET L 0 0 Total Score 1 A spectacular effort from both players, who left it all on the pitch. I salute you. Thank you for joining me, and should this be the last of my refioji-ing duties through this tournament, I have only this to say... phew!

Ganzohnesushi 374 Posted July 7, 2021 Contact, contact.... Rubbish. In a football match you normally have 100+ times contact with your opponent. It wasn't a foul. Period.

Pitinosato 73 Posted July 8, 2021 Plate Seminfinals, final Standings Joaoiyama - Atenzan 0-2 Kumo-Koma - Athenayama 0-1 Joao's droning line-up did it's best, but against the one winner and the drawing C-Team of Atenzan there was nothing to do Line-ups seem to be overrated... Well, in this Match with 11 draws out of 12 Matches (all N-Teams) they didn't matter at all One winner on Athena's side decided the Match Joaoiyama and Kumo-Komo go home (we will see which class ) Atenzan and Athenayama progress to the Plate Finals !!! But Jejima shouldn't fret all too much. I have it on good account that Pitinosato would have won the penalty shoot-out anyway if England didn't get lucky in extra time. 11 hours ago, Jakusotsu said: Comment: Normally I would play it safe and put England ET first as my R team If Jejima would have played normally... ... he would have won

Jejima 837 Posted July 8, 2021 Euro Finals Rules The final match is divided into 5 unequal time segments. Times will be the official times given in minutes. The time slots are as follows:- 1. 0-25 mins2. 26-45 mins (including any stoppage time)3. 46 - 70 mins4. 71 - 90 mins (including any stoppage time)5. Extra Time: 91 - 120 mins (including any stoppage time) Players need to label which part of the match they are predicting. Remember that you predict for all parts of the match for the teams still on your roster. So if you have both teams, you will have 10 slots in total. Label as follows:- (1) = 0-25 mins, (2) = 26-45+ mins, (3) = 46-70 mins, (4) = 71-90+ mins, (5) = Extra Time Players need to highlight their (S1) and (S2) teams (if still in the competition) - by putting it by the first mention of that team in the line-up. The © and ® teams - if any player is lucky enough to still have them - have the same rules as for the semi-finals. Namely, players choose which part of the match (so 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 - remember if no extra time occurs, then any ® or © team in that slot is counted as a 'normal' draw. If extra time does occur, then ® and © teams in that slot get the 'special' powers.) to use the special ® or © powers. This power can only be used once - so choose carefully. For the other four time periods, they count as 'normal' teams. Players need to remember to indicate (just the once) which slot they intend to use the special powers. Normal time and Extra time rulesThe same as for the semi-finals Penalty shoot-outAs previously mentioned (prior to the semifinal matches). 'Drone' rulesAll teams already knocked out of the Euro are removed from the drone's line-up. The order of a drone's squad will be the current order of his remaining teams based on the first mention in the semi-final line-up, from 1st time slot - 5th time slot. E.g. Drone: 1. first team (1), 2. first team (2), 3. first team (3), 4. first team (4th), 5. first team (5), 6. second team (1) etc, where 'first team' means the first team in their previous line-up (for the semi-finals) still in the Euros. 'Semi-drone' rules....If any player omits to give the 'time' for the match, E.g. 1. England, 2. Germany etc, it will be assumed to be 1. England (1), 2. England (2), 3. England (3), 4. England (4), 5. England (5), 6. Germany (1) etc A drone/semi-drone receives full benefit of ® and © teams (in the first slot where they appear).
