Instead of cheering and applause him as it should have been for any normal sports fan. I saw yesterday what football is at its worst. There will never be an end to this non sense... Indeed. But I mentioned to Nekonishiki yesterday that it is so hard to distinguish between the real injuries and the acting... Faking injuries should be banished from football completely. If a team wanted to keep their advantage, they should use only the fair ways, like doing everything a bit slower or refraining from attacking. Clearly no acting, watch it again if you have the possibility. Edited July 3, 2021 by Athenayama

I always liked Football But in the last years the acting (like yesterday Mr. Immobile shortly before the goal....) more and more ruins my fun watching it Big slogans of fairplay etc., but in the reality it is only to win, NO MATTER HOW And that seems to be OK. No penalties for obvious acting, even no bad press (but that's surely not the problem of the UEFA) Edited July 3, 2021 by Pitinosato

Ganzohnesushi 377 Posted July 3, 2021 Any beer compared to the many fantastic Frankonian beers from the tiny local breweries is rather bad. But I have no clue about the quality of beer in Azerbaijan... I assume it must be really bad as Danish people usually don't waste alcohol Ganzohnesushi

Jakusotsu 4,425 Posted July 3, 2021 It took Pickford four matches and 70 minutes to finally look like a true English goalkeeper. Seriously, England retaining a shutout is even more amazing than the new Italian aggressive gameplay.

Gordon Banks was a brilliant goalkeeper in the 60's and early 70's. But afterwards....? Clemence, Shilton, Seaman and Hart were below average, (Calamity) James and Robinson were pure crap. From that perspective it is easy for Pickford to shine. Ganzohnesushi

Pitinosato 73 Posted July 3, 2021 (I hope to use the rules correctly ) ... The chain of Ganzohnesushi was unbroken, so we start again at slot # 1 3 of the 4 quarterfinals were decided after 90 Minutes, so these 3 count as a draw (with the special rules for R- and C-Team removed) Only one Match (Switzerland-Spain) went into Extra Time. But this Match was also a draw in the Extra Time (Decision after Penalties) So we have only draws !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And without having Switzerland or Spain as R- or C-Team, this could only mean: No goals in the Extra Time ! Standings still 1-1 we have a Penalty Shoot out !!! I pass to Jejima

Jejima 841 Posted July 5, 2021 Okay, I am going to focus on this game, now that the Forum is back. There is still over 24 hours before the next match, so we have time Keep an eye on this thread over the next hour or so for updates and instructions, etc. (whilst I watch the sumo on another screen.) Jejima 841 Posted July 5, 2021 It looks like all the results announced by the refiojis are in order - but we still have one match to decide, and it is an important one. Ganzohnesushi and Atenzan were tied 1-1 after 90 minutes, and remained tied 1-1 after extra time! So, we will go to penalties. The winner will progress to the semifinals of the Cup competition, the loser will compete in the Plate semifinals. Right, let's find the list of penalty takers for the quarterfinals.... Ganzohnesushi will go first.... Netherlands! Nerves? 0-? Atenzan next...... Belgium! Oh dear, oh dear. 0-0 Ganzohnesushi...... Italy! We're off the mark. 1-0 Atenzan......... Austria! What??? Do I have the wrong list? (I am serious here. I am going to go back and check the original survey monkey picks made by Atenzan)... . . . . . . . The VAR confirms, it is Austria! Wow, that flew so high over the bar, it left the stadium! 1-0 I imagine that Ganzohnesushi might be fancying his chances round about now..... His turn next.... Ganzohnesushi.... France! Oh, we made these picks so long ago, they bring a smile to our faces now. 1-0, and Atenzan is still in the game. Atenzan...... France! The same error as his aite. Will Atenzan find anyone in his team capable of scoring a penalty??? 1-0 Ganzohnesushi..... Germany! This is fast becoming one of the worst penalty shoot-outs of all time, but Ganzohnesushi stays in front, nevertheless.... 1-0 Atenzan...... Netherlands! That's another miss. Four-in-a-row now!.... 1-0 Okay, Ganzohnesushi can win it on his next kick. If he scores, it's all over. If he misses, Atenzan must score to stay in, and we will go to sudden death.... . . . . . . Ganzohnesushi steps up.... . . . . Takes a breath.... . . . . . . Blasts the ball towards the top left corner. . . . . . . . . . England! It's in. England wins the penalty shoot-out for Ganzohnesushi 2-0. So, Ganzohnesushi will progress to the Cup semifinals and Atenzan will play in the Plate semifinals.
