Saito specializes on helping restaurants with official documents, e.g. to apply for subsidiary aid as sales are down in Corona times. His right "gyoza" ear is a sign of his rikishi days, but surprisingly few people notice his past history: "My weight is down about 60kg from the 165kg when active."

After being a rikishi for 4 years he made it to makushita, in Kyushu 2010 when thrown off the dohyo, his ACL snapped and his meniscus was damaged. He was brought to a hospital and immediately had surgery, but it took him a year to return. He changed his shikona from Saito to Oruri, but couldn't do sumo like before, having constant fear of re-injury: "After a loss rather than frustration I felt relief. Without frustration you can't get stronger anymore. I decided to retire."

"In the job interview at one company I heard: 'No experience in work society, just got the driver's license, can't use the PC - the 3 conditions  combined.' and was rejected. With the record as ex-rikishi comes the stigma of not being able to work. I realized that I had been protected by the oyakata and okamisan. The necessities of life were guaranteed, if something occurs they take care. What seemed a harsh environment had been one to be thankful for."

After that he took PC lessons for 3 months and gained a qualification. He got work through a temporary staff recruitment agency for the construction business, working at the construction site of a highway in Hyogo pref. "I had no knowledge of the construction industry and without understanding what the people around me were saying, I was of no use, there was a constant feeling of inferiority. The urge to be able to work self-confident became ever stronger."

With some qualification he would find some starting point, with that thought he searched the net and found the term 行政書士 "administrative scrivener". "I had no idea what that occupation was and on top of that, had no legal knowledge. But checking it I found that it had connections to the construction business and I could make use of the experience on site. I wanted to change myself. I even felt that if I couldn't get that qualification, my life might be over."

Half a year after finding a job he started to go to classes at a vocational school, another half year later he quit the job to concentrate on learning, while doing part time jobs.

The exam was once a year, with passing rate of 10%. At the 3rd attempt he made it in January, 4 years after intai. He opened an office in Osaka on August 2018, but just with a qualification, work wouldn't come rushing in, competition was hard. "The range of branches is wide, 'can do everything'  comes with 'can't do anything'. I had to specialize." He focused on the restaurant sector, where many ex-rikishi start a business.

"In June international standards for food hygiene became obligatory, many shop operators have to file documents." "Now with Corona there are tough times for the restaurant industry, I want to support those who hold on. I believe that after it's over, more will think about opening a shop."

"A lot of rikishi after intai start in the restaurant business. When opening a shop, a lot of permits and licensees are necessary. I though I can help there. I had a hard time after retiring, I want to become someone to help soften other's hardships there."

Saito is using the shikona (and image) Hayateumi on his election poster, but only applied for the elections under his real name - he could have applied for both. If people cast a vote for Hayateumi now instead of Saito, which is to be expected, the vote might be invalid, people have to write the proper name on the ballot. Ex-Masunoyama looked like a ball when active, now he looks like any ordinary staff in the care for the elderly, where he started his 2nd career now, with the initial qualification in the business, work beginner in training. He stopped to eat deep fried food and switched to a low fat diet, that brought him from 187kg down to 102kg, his ligament ossification problems (OLF and OPLL) got better and also the condition of his lower back.

He had his danpatsu-shiki on April 2nd and works now at a rehabilitation facility for the elderly in Arakawa ward.

An ex-rikishi you-tuber who now calls himself Edomondo Chan (his mother seems to be from the Philippines - with also Spanish and Mexican ancestry, so that might be his name from her side) was at the audition for BreakingDown6, a fight event on Abema, and squashed someone who had the job to provoke him. 220kg now, though Enshunada, who it has to be from the data on his self presentation, was way below that weight while active.
