mikawa 1,794 Posted March 30, 2020 (edited) Don't know if this has been posted before, but found a video where two guys in Tokyo made a song about all 46 beya (in 2018), one beya per line, and they've also included an interesting fact about each one. They even took the time to do a short yokozuna dohyo-iri in front of every beya! I've translated the lyrics beneath the video. Nantonoyama 246 Posted April 2, 2020 That follows the Kyushu 2016 banzuke, reversed order. All sanyaku are in correct order of precedence. Strangely, maegashira alternate west-east from the bottom, but since there was a M16e and no M16w, the pattern is M15w - M16e - M14w - M15e - M13w - M14e and so on... Presumably they took a printed banzuke and didn't pay attention that there was an unequal number of rikishi on each side

mikawa 1,794 Posted April 3, 2020 Maybe it's just the sheer size of Tokyo, but their definition of "not far" seems slightly stretched to be honest. I don't know if they've relocated since 2014, but according to Google Maps, Tomozuna is a 2-hour walk away from Azumazeki

The kid's getting around Tokyo pretty good. This must have taken a little time to put together. Not that I should talk, but he needs to keep working on that shiko.
