After three days without game 21 bouts we had today again two such bouts. But they brought us in the sum only 15 points, no for Sumojoann and no for the candidates for the red lamp.

So now we have four leaders with each 7 points, among them Tameiki with the best TB1.

My job is as ever to hold the red lamp.

Today were again two game 21 bouts.

Tameiki and Flohru voted both winners right.

So they lead now with both 9 points,

Tameiki with the better tiebreaker on place 1.

Behind them follow SumoJoann and Chicky Starr with both 8.

I have on my last place also two right picks,

but nobody wants to have my red lamp.

On day 14 we had again two bouts. Leaders are now Tameiki and Chicky Starr. They lead now with 10 points before three pursuers with each 9. Among them is now Chishafuwaku with his fantastical tiebreaker value.

I myself have meanwhile decided to fight for the last place.

Now, as ever on day 14 very late, we have the Torikumi for the final day.

It is no great surprise: It included no more any game 21 bout for Senshuraku.

But of course this doesn’t mean the upper table should be the final result.

No, now we must find out, who of the players gets any points for his X picks.

The rules say: All non-fights are X-fights, except if one of the two Rikishi in all 15 Torikumis was not nominated for any of its bouts. In this case will all players votes counted as right.

In all our 6 our bouts that did not take place we didn’t have this case. All 12 rikishi were nominated one or more days for a bout. (BTW, they also started one time or more, but for the rules this isn’t important.)

4 of these X bouts were voted by nobody as X, bout 11 by 5 players, bout 15 only by Flohru.

And I guess: this one decided!

As I have said before: There is no better way to win 21 than via X-picks. Thanks Asojima for a particularly great bout selection this time, and thanks Prof for your regular updates, both is much appreciated!

A few final remarks:

As I had hoped, the basho was carried out, despite the Corona Virus, until the end.

Every day the hall was filled until the last place with virtual spectators, who with their virtual cheers gave the real viewer the impression of awe-inspiring silence. It was very very unusual.

That is why I would like to thank all players for participating, of course again to Asojima for the interesting selection of fights, and I would like to comfort him for the misfortune of oversleeping his own deadline.

In the next basho we will change this deadline somewhat.

To this next basho in May – I hope, it takes place – you all are hearty invited.

Until this time please stay all healthy!.

I had promised Asojima that at the end of the basho I would tell him what place he would have taken in the overall classification if he had not overslept the deadline.
With his tip he would have achieved 10 points among all players with 10 points the best tiebreak rating.
This would be the second place
But: "would be" is not "is".
Don't worry, Jim - and stay healthy!
