The numbers in parens are the the results of the most recent matches between the two.

I have wondered about this in the past; this time it seems something has gone wrong completely, as the numbers for e.g. bouts 5 and 6 simply make no sense, no matter how you define "the most recent".

Also I think that @ Rocks question above is still unanswered; as 21 could easily be finalized even if the basho is cancelled mid-way, I guess it would be good to clarify beforehand, if the game will be cancelled as well or any remaining matches will be counted as X.

Thanks for still providing the matchups, Asojima!

Yes, the corona virus brings us a situation that we until this time haven't had in our game.
3 scenarios are possible:

1. There is a decision to do the basho, but behind closed gates. If it stays that way, Game 21 will run as normal.

I’m personally sure, this will become the real situation.
2. If the basho is canceled before Shonichi, game 21 will also be canceled. I don’t believe this will be, but why not!

3. And now the situation I don’t believe it will come, but there is a very very small probability for this very unlikely case, which was Rocks’ question.

If the basho takes place for a few days and is canceled after them (which I don't believe), we can simply set those to X bouts that have not taken place until this time.

Asojima gave a fast answer to Rocks' question:

"I.e., the standings following the last completed match will probably become the final standings."

I read this and wrote him, that I can live with this decision.

But as I now think a second time about the problem I see that I must decide between three possible decisions for the final result.

1.The game is cancelled, there is no more ranking and no winner

2.The current point table is the final ranking. No open bout will set to X.

3.The current point table will be completed by X for all bouts which were not taking place.

I am the person, who writes the final report of the game.

If this very unlikely situation becomes real, then let me decide.

Let me decide for two tables, one by decision 2 without X points and one by decision 3 with X for not taking place bouts!

Now near to the deadline will each other decision come to late for those players who could change their pics.

I’m sure we’ll not get this scenario.

And if it will come nevertheless:

Dear friends, it is a game an no catastrophe.

And it has no influence for our next game 21.

Let's have nevertheless our fun with the basho

with only virtual people on the seats in the hall!

Profomisakari!

I made some last minute adjustments to the matches and neglected to adjust the most recent numbers.  I will change match 5 to 1-1 and 6 to 2-4. The links are available for those who are seriously interested in the past matches.

If we have a mid-basho cancellation, and give everyone an "X" pick for the remaining matches, the final ranking order will be the same as that following the last completed match.  The numbers will change, but the order will not.  The end would leave us all grumbling, but as the Professor pointed out, the final results will not have much of an historical significance.  Let the Professor make the final decision  if it happens.

Welcome to our new player, Katsunorifuji.  Sumojoann is our most agreeable player.  Chishafuwaku is very disagreeable.

Note:  In the future, we will be changing the deadline time to 11:30 JST vice 5:00 JST.  Since the change is forthcoming, we have decided to allow 3 late entries for this game. The table entries have been revised.

The professor caught one of my typing errors.  Revised again.

Let's get this thing going!

The most agreeable has the most other players who agree with that players individual picks.  The most disagreeable has the fewest agreements.

4 bouts after the second day.

Now we see some first differences in the table.

But until 21 bout there can as ever much change.

Nobody has all 4 bouts right, but one has all false.

As you see, I seem to have decided to fight for the red lamp.

But perhaps I will change my deciding and now fight for a better result.

9 players have 3 of the 4 bouts right, only Hakuhonofan has a better tiebreaker value as the other 8.

But how I yesterday wrote:

Too a standing after 4 bouts doesn’t much say about the final result . . .

Now we have 6 bouts. Three players have 5 points for 5 correct pics.

All have the same TB1, so must decide the TB2. This is the row of the voting.

Sumojoann gave as first of them, so she is the leader. But there is as ever a long time.

BTW: I’ve as ever the last place, but I have my first right pick.

The hope dies as last.

Only one bout today. The three leaders all failt.

Now have Shimodahito  and Hakuhonofan the better tiebreaker values.

Profomisakari failt again and holds proud the red lamp in his hands.

Again only one bout.

All five leaders did the right result and lead now in the same row with all six points. As yesterday leads Shimodahito.

I gave the red lamp to Susanoo, but if he doesn't like it, perhaps he will give it me back.

We had again only one bout and from the leadersgroup voted alone Sumojoann  for the winner Kagayaki. So she is now our sole leader. But the games goes still long . . .

Susanoo wouldn’t have the red lamp and gave it me back.
