I hesitated to even mention Enho with 3 makekochi. The fact that Enho's current rank is higher than Kizakiumi's, and Kizakiumi's is greater than Kotoshoho's makes a neat progression. The bar (perfection) is set pretty high in this club! So I recall reading there is a trick to inserting tables into posts -- one of the reasons I haven't worked on that. Katooshu 2,957 Posted March 19, 2020 (edited) Kitanowaka is my favourite of the young guns--very impressive as an amateur and making a nice steady rise in the pros so far. He has the right body and all the content is there for the higher levels. I think only serious injury will stop him from becoming a sekitori in the next year or 2. Yoshii has a solid shot of making makushita at just 16...I am pulling for the youngster. I have to admit that Daikisho has gone completely under my radar. Tokisakae is off to a blazing start at 3-0 in sharp contrast to his 1-3 start in March, while the other Makushitans in our list are struggling, save Suzuki. With a 4-3 record in March, Suzuki is not meeting substantially tougher competition this go-round. Not yet 17, Yoshii is the youngest rikishi in Makushita by 2 1/2 years! In Sandanme, Dewanoryu, Nihonyanagi and Mudoho are having a successful debut so far. At this rate, Dewanoryu could debut in Makushita next tournament, which would only be his fourth. To date, he has only one loss in his young career. While Dewanoryu and Mudoho wasted no time in claiming their KK, the rest of the Sandanme contingent is in trouble. In Makushita, Daikisho firmly hit the wall at 0-4. Tokisakae also took a loss. On the other side, fans of Suzuki should be relieved since he is now 3-1 after an opening loss. Similarly, both Kitanowaka and Yoshii evened their records at 2-2 after posting losses in their second and third bouts.
