Does anyone know if Toma has managed to shed any kilos? On his debut he came in at 211 kg. I'm the same height and half that weight and I am considered obese. There are countries in Europe where a BMI of 63 would lead to hospitalisation.

If his appearance at February's Hakuho Cup is any indication, no. He bent a chair out of shape just by sitting on it.

I wondered about that.. Thanks. I wonder why their torikumi isn't listed on the database. Not listed on the Kyokai site either. He faced Makushita Fukamiyama. Result nowhere to be seen.

Hakuho recruit Hokuseiho starts off November 2020 with a win, now 15 straight victories from debut. 4 more to get onto the top 10.

Hokuseiho, as Kinta mentions above, is now 5-0 and has beaten a couple of sandamne top guns. Does anyone have any video of the kid this basho? I'd love to see one or two. We got to see the id practice back in January. He's a pretty good cook!

Check out the video thread. @mt fuji has posted all of Hokuseiho’s matches in his lower division highlight videos.

If you want to know what I think...

Mudoho's having a rougher time this basho but he looks technically fine.

Roga looks really solid and beat Naya today, maybe he'll be up in Juryo pretty soon too?

I think Hagiwara has spent the least amount of time wrestling this basho than anyone in the whole tournament

Masutoo looks like he's in bad shape and had to be helped off today.

Hokuseiho's 5-0 is of better quality than Hagiwara's, he had a great win against Nihonyanagi the other day. Won pretty decisively today too.

Shishi, no surprise, has been all oshi-zumo... I wonder where he'd end up if he ever went for the belt!

Osuzuki, Ishii, Shimoyama and Takasu are all youngsters having solid basho, keep an eye out for them on their way up.

Yoshii survives the wall yet another day, he will fight for his kachi-koshi now standing at 3-3.

Kitanowaka hits the wall and gets his first career MK, losing to Tochiseiryu

https://www.nikkansports.com/battle/sumo/news/202011190000353.html

Youngest Taiho grandson Mudoho is now 3-3 after beating Akinoyama and will fight for KK in his 7th match

https://www.nikkansports.com/battle/sumo/news/202011190000316.html

A torinaoshi was called in makushita between Kitadaichi and Chiyonosho after they went for 5 minutes without a winner being decided. The match went for another forty seconds after that before Chiyonosho emerged victorious by uwatenage.

https://www.nikkansports.com/battle/sumo/news/202011180001038.html

A day late but Hanakaze got his first win after turning 50 against 17 year old Wakaonehara by uwatenage. The old warrior stands at 1-5 ranked at Jonidan 101, so we'll be seeing him back in jonokuchi next basho.

Yoshii avoids the wall yet again, this time digging himself out of a 0-3 hole to finish 4-3

Hanakaze finishes 1-6 and will be back in Jonokuchi exactly one year since his last appearance in the last division

Mudoho (Naya #4) gets his first career MK and will slide a little down the line in the 3rd division

Hozan (Naya #2) also could not get KK and finishes 3-4, making Naya (Naya #3) the only successful brother for November
