It's not easy to forecast much based on Jonokuni matches.  However, he's been matched against three veterans returning from kyujo vacations: Kyokushori (CH Ms50, 3-1 this basho); Ginseizan (Ms58, 4-1); and Ryubumaru (Sd66, 4-1).  He also beat Yamadaumi and Soga, neither of whom have ever had a katchi-koshi.  The fact that his opponents are 16-2 otherwise this basho is impressive.

Indeed you are right and I should add him to the list next basho. The list will be shortened somewhat as guys I thought  would pan out didn't. OTOH, Shiroma will be added. If you feel you think someone else should be added, please inform me. I will check and see. This is a dynamic list, much like my bank account.
