Muhomatsu 55 Posted January 16, 2020 It would be cool to also add columns for “of which: foreigners” and “of which: former university wrestlers”. That way we could see which heya are good at recruiting from colleges and which are good at “developing” sekitori on their own.

One could underline those who have brought their foreigner to sekitori, and put in bold those few who have more than the limit of 1 per heya, due to mergers or the like (and italics for the few heya which have no foreigner) Edited January 16, 2020 by Akinomaki

Jakusotsu 3,622 Posted September 3, 2020 I just realized there's quite a number of very prominent names with zero Sekitori.

Oortael 90 Posted September 3, 2020 (edited) You should be able to find a bunch of informations below (edit : the Mz column is wrong, nobody is in Mz division as of now obviously). You're welcome. BTW, SumoDb is the best website ever. Some data may be inaccurate. Colors are personal preference. You mileage may vary. Some restrictions apply. If one is considering how successful a heya is, obviously the larger heyas that recruit more rikishi have something of an unfair statistical advantage with just the raw # of sekitori. A heya with only 15 rikishi, for example, is never going to have 7 sekitori, or at least so I suspect.
orandashoho 664 Posted September 3, 2020 Didn't the former Takanohana-beya have a high ratio of sekitori?
ryafuji 571 Posted September 4, 2020 At its peak in the mid 90s the Futagoyama beya had 10 sekitori from around 50 rikishi in total. That was as a result of its merger with the Fujishima beya.
